State of the Young Black Man 2016

    in Motivation

It's our second annual State of the Young Black Man address with Entrepreneur Marquis Coates and Young Activist Caleb Jackson.

If your not a young man, this will be a most enlivening, informational, and engaging address for your little brother, nephew, and any parents of young men.

How do we show them that school is not a right now job, but the foundation of your future? How do we keep them in school?

Despite making up just 13% of the population, blacks commit around half of homicides in the United States. Where do we start? Turning criminals into students and upstanding citizens sounds like an impossible charge.. but it's possible; we have to believe it is, but how? How is it possible?

Also, how do we become better young black fathers, realistically and perceptionally?

Entrepreneur Marquis Coates and Young Activist Caleb Jackson will be rejoining us for a compelling panel discussion!

PLUM CREEK: THE REST OF THE STORY (PART 3)

    in Lifestyle

TONIGHT AT 7 ON NORTH FLORIDA WRITER LIVE WE'LL CONTINUE WITH THE PLUM CREEK DEVELOPMENT STORY IN THE THIRD INSTALLMENT.  WE'LL MOVE TO A DISCUSSION OF THE UNINTENDED AND NEGATIVE CONSEQUENCES THAT NEIGHBORS TO THE AMBITIOUS PROJECT WILL FACE AND HOW THEIR LIVES CAN LITERALLY BE TORN ABOUT.  THE DISCUSSION YOU WILL HEAR IS A PART OF GEORGE SIBLEY'S EXCELLENT AUDIO PODCAST CREATED IN PART BY SUPPORT FROM THE SIERRA CLUB.  AND I MUST ADMIT THAT THIS HUMBLE HOST IS INCLUDED AS ONE OF THE PARTICIPANTS SINCE i ALSO LIVE CLOSE BY THE WHERE THE ACTION WILL BE.

THE MAIN POINT BEING MADE IS THAT THE ENTIRE PROJECT IS OVERKILL, TRYING TO FORCE THE DEVELOPMENT OF A NEW CITY IN LOW, OFTEN FLOODED LAND WITH NO INFRASTRUCTURE.  AND SINCE PLUM CREEK HAS MADE IT CLEAR THAT THEY WILL NOT DO ANYTHING TO ACTUALLY DEVELOP IT THEMSELVES, THE LOCAL TAXPAYERS, INCLUDING THOSE OF US DIRECTLY IMPACTED, WILL PAY THE PRICE BOTH IN TAXES AND LOSS OF QUALITY OF LIFE. DOES THE COUNTY GOVERNMENT CARE?  ONLY TIME WILL TELL AND THAT WILL COME IN NEXT WEEK'S MASSIVE PUBLIC HEARINGS.

WE HOPE YOU'LL TUNE IN FOR WHEREVER YOU LIVE, DEVELOPMENTS OF THIS TYPE ARE BEING PLANNED THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES.  I GUESS PEOPLE WILL FINALLY WAKE UP WHEN THE TREES ARE GONE, THE SPRAWL HAS LEFT BEHIND BOARDED UP COMMUNITIES AND WE'LL WONDER WHAT HAPPENED.  SO PAY ATTENTION, YOU MIGHT LEARN A THING OR TWO THAT YOU CAN DO AS WELL.

RFB Radio ~ Inside the Islamic State

    in Politics Conservative

Perhaps because of its destruction of ancient artifacts (not to mention its reign of terror), the Islamic State has not exactly become a thriving tourist hub...

Today, we continue to discuss The Complete Infidel's Guide to ISIS, by Robert Spencer. And we will also briefly touch upon the Pegida UK Demo which took place February 6th in Birmingham.

New Hampshire Business as Usual or Not

    in Politics

The Democratic Party, once buttressed by mill workers in eastern and central towns, has expanded its reach all over the state, but particularly in those same southern counties and along the western edge of the state, near Vermont.Suburbs and exurbs that had spotted the countryside now form unbroken furrows across the southern part of the state; the old mills of Manchester and other towns now house tech firms and universities.
Pushing the change have been the tidal surges that reshape politics in many places: Older residents(Clinton'voters), mostly conservative, are dying off; younger and more liberal residents have moved in.  Only 45% of New Hampshire residents were born here, a lower percentage than in all but five states.
