The Florida Gators have LOST their SEC matchup to the Vanderbilt Commodores. This is Florida’s 4th STRAIGHT LOSS, putting them below .500 this late in the season for the first time since 1979. Vanderbilt’s win against the Gators in The Swamp not only ended our 22 game winning streak against them, it was also their 1st win in The Swamp since 1945. The Florida Gators are 100% ELIMINATED from SEC East contention, and are SERIOUSLY fighting just to make a bowl this season, ANY BOWL!!! This victory must be put behind them quickly as they must now turn their attention to the Hogs sworn enemies, the LSU Tigers. The Gators travel to Death Valley where the Tigers lie in wait as they are seeking vengeance for last year’s loss to the Gators in The Swamp. I won’t lie, I’m as nervous as can be. The Florida Gators have WON their RIVALRY game against the Tennessee Volunteers by a FINAL of 31-17. This is Florida’s ninth straight win over the Volunteers, so why am I as UNHAPPY as I am? The Florida Gators next game will be on the road in Lexington, Kentucky as they will be facing the Kentucky Wildcats seeking their 27th straight win against the Cats, which would give the Gators sole possession of the longest winning streak over an SEC opponent in SEC history.
