This week on Coach Cafe, THE Self-Empowerment Place to Meet, Estra and Kathleen welcome Celeste Yacoboni, author of How Do You Pray? as their guest.
Most of us grew up introduced to some form of prayer. As we evolve, so do our prayers; as our prayers evolve, so do we. Praying means different things to different people, and there are many diverse ways to connect with the Divine. Celeste Yacoboni was guided to ask the world, "How do you pray?" She reached out to family and friends and then to leading figures from all walks of life and schools of thought. How Do You Pray? is an interspiritual prayer book and resource guide to an emerging global spirituality, which embraces our religious and spiritual diversity. The 129 contributors range in spiritual traditions from Buddhism to Islam to Christianity, as well as those who do not claim any particular faith. Some of the contributors include: Matthew Fox, Gregg Braden, Byron Katie, Marianne Williamson, Masuro Emoto, Lama Surya Das, Patch Adams and Rabbi Zalman Schacter-Shalomi. This show and the book will inspire you to consider what it means to you to pray---how do you connect with the Greater Consciousness? "How we pray is as diverse as each being on our planet..."
Celeste Yacoboni is a Minister of Walking Prayer, ordained by the Center for Sacred Studies in Sonora, California. Her work focuses on guiding and supporting people through transitions by creating a space of awareness, presence and inspiration, which intergrates body, mind, spirit and emotions. She has a thriving private practice in Sante Fe, NM. You can visit her website at www.CelestialBodyandSoul.com and learn more about her vision and book at www.HowDoYouPray.com
Salmon Cupid, born in the Caribbean Republic of Trinidad and Tobago (T&T also affectionately referred to as Trinbago), fell in love with and learned to play the steelpan there. He began formally playing with St. Augustine Senior Comprehensive School where he led the band in several music festivals and competitions. Under his captaincy, St. Augustine won the Panorama competition and walked away with first place at the Steelpan Music Festival. He also made several international tours with the school to Europe. His experience on these tours confirmed that his idea of the electronic steelpan was crucial to the progress of steelpan.
In 1994, Salmon was selected by Pan Trinbago to be the Steelpan Cultural Ambassador as part of the demand by schools internationally to teach and expose the steelpan in Canada. He accepted that opportunity to expand his horizons. It led to his decision to relocate to Canada where he currently resides.
In 2000, he boldly entered a steelband in the Kiwanis Music Festival in Toronto. For the next 6 years the band consistently won the competition. Also in 2000, with the support of the students, parents, teachers, and community at large, he founded an alumni band, the Toronto All Stars Steel Orchestra (TASSO).
The steelpan is an acoustic musical instrument indigenous to T&T. In honor to the pioneers who originated and developed the instrument and art form, he strived to remain mindful and respectful of the pioneers. To get a better sense of the instrument, click on this link.

This week on Living Astrology ....The Summer energy begins its shift toward Fall as the Sun moves into Virgo and entertains the New Moon at 2 Virgo on the 25th. This is a time of new beginnings and getting back to the work of our lives - many schools around the country have already started their year, and the rest will be coming along here before too long. From our many years of being conditioned to look at August/September as a new beginning of sorts, we are all looking for what is "right" for us as we approach the new season. Taking a look at your personal astro-chart can help you align with the universal energies, as well as your personal energies. If you would like a mini-astrology reading during the show, please email me your birth date, time and place to email@example.com, or to firstname.lastname@example.org.
And, speaking of being conditioned or "conditioning," part of our discussion today will include how we look at conditioning in Human Design Astrology.
Here is the number to call into the show for your reading or to ask questions: 1-347-205-9869.
It's about that time! School time! *All parents are doing a happy dance!* Year round schools are well underway and traditional schools will begin soon, but what should parents do to get prepared? What should first time parents do to get their child (and themselves) ready for Kindergarten? How do you search for and choose quality early education? Want some parenting tips and tools? Is your child starting in an Exceptional or Special Needs classroom and you need help navigating that process? If you said yes to even one of these questions then join us for the month of August for the answers. And call in to get some of your questions answered. We will have educators and parents join us to discuss these topics and more!
Talk to you then!
