The Ministry Of Music: Featuring Larry Clark

    in Christianity

This world is full of various types of music. From Jazz, Rap, Country, R&B, Classic, New Age, Metal, Rock, Pop, Gospel, Soul, Inspirational, Reggae, Latin, and the list goes on and on. Music has a way of influencing our actions, moods, and thoughts. In other words....there is a ministry in music, whether good or bad. In this show we want to focus in on the church and how music through history has been instrumental in worship and encouragement to those who are receptive to it's message. When it comes to music, what is acceptable by God? What is truly conducive to proper worship? How much of the secular world have we allowed in to the church?

This being a week where we will be featuring many aspects from our book entitled "12 Kings and Their Treasures: Transparent, Testimony, Truth". As we spotlight our fellow King Eric Haylock's chapter entitled "Hip Hop"..we will have the honor to be joined by our VERY special guest Mr. Larry Clark. A talented songwriter, producer out of Detroit, Michigan who is also a member of Perfecting Church that's lead by Bishop Marvin L. Winans. Larry also comes from a legendary musical family known as " The Clark Sisters"..where he recently worked on a couple of projects with his aunt Twinkie Clark. He is also the Minister of Music for New Greater Love Baptist Church out of Detroit. We are grateful to have him share with us his insight on music within the church. Tell your family and friends...and join myself Rodney D. Kirkwood and my special co-host and fellow King.. Mandrill Mclaughlin as well for what will be a DYNAMIC broadcast with the 12 Kings. Join us and be blessed!

Are Black People Contributing To Racism By Using The N-Word?

    in Culture

In Michigan, just a few days ago, a young man in a suburb of Detroit captured a video of bullies taunting him and calling him nigger as they rode the bus to a concert. The students responsible for the taunting were suspended, but the mother of the victim and some other supporters think that their should be a more harsh penalty. Unfortunately, the situation may not hold a lot of weight in the way of racial intimidation.  But, why is that?  Call in this Monday at 7pm to comment on the HOT TOPIC ~ "ARE BLACK PEOPLE CONTRIBUTING TO RACISM BY USING THE N-WORD?" Imam Siddeeq Jihad: Give your Response To Allah & His Messenger

    in Islam

Sheikh Ali Suleiman Ali’s Endorsing Comments Regarding:

The Language of Revelation: Classical Arabic Language Instruction and Exercises with Qur’aan Commentary For Beginners & Non-Beginner’s By Siddeeq Jihad.

I have read this detailed, scholarly work of our brother, Siddeeq Jihad. The book is basically written and structured to help anyone who is interested in learning Classical Arabic. The book is highly instructive and well organized.

No doubt, the author Siddeeq Jihad  has a great love for Lughatut-tanzeel, the language of revelation. He has dedicated many years studying and teaching Qur’aanic Arabic.

Allah has enabled him to share the knowledge He has blessed him with.  Siddeeq has had a long jihad  (exertion of diligent effort/time) in learning Qur’aanic Arabic.

The book is extremely useful! It is an excellent guide for beginners and non-beginners and whoever is interested in learning Lughatut-Tanzeel: The Language of Revelation. This work equips and empowers its readers with a strong foundation to understand Qur’aanic Arabic. It can indeed lead students, male and female toward Arabic proficiency.    I strongly recommend the book for brothers and sisters who are interested in learning Qur’aanic Arabic as well as Modern Standard Arabic.

Averral of Oliver Cowdrey--Eyewitness of an Angel--As An Attorney in Court

    in Current Events

Some time after leaving the Church, Oliver Cowdery, who had studied law, became prosecuting attorney in one of the counties of the state of Michigan. During the course of a murder trial the attorney for the defendant challenged Oliver Cowdery in the following words:

"May it please the court, and gentlemen of the jury, I challenge Mr. Cowdery, since he seems to know so much about the poor defendant, to tell us something about his connection with Joe Smith, and the digging out of the hill of the Mormon Bible, and how Mr. Cowdery helped Joe Smith to defraud the American people out of a whole lot of money selling the Mormon Bible and telling them that an angel appeared to them from heaven, dressed in white clothes."

“Finally, Oliver Cowdery arose calm as a summer morning. I was within three feet of him. There was no hesitation, no fear, no anger in his voice, as he said: 'May it please the court, and gentlemen of the jury, my brother attorney on the other side has charged me with connection with Joseph Smith and the golden Bible. The responsibility has been placed upon me, and I cannot escape reply. Before God and man I dare not deny what I have said, and what my testimony contains as written and printed on the front page of the Book of Mormon. May it please your honor and gentlemen of the jury, this I say, I saw the angel and heard his voice-how can I deny it? It happened in the daytime when the sun was shining bright in the firmament; not in the night when I was asleep. That glorious messenger from heaven, dressed in white, standing above the ground, in a glory I have never seen anything to compare with, the sun insignificant in comparison, and this personage told us if we denied that testimony there is no forgiveness in this life nor in the world to come. Now, how can I deny it-I dare not; I will not!” (As related by former Juvenile Court Judge C. M. Nielsen of Murray, Utah)
