    ROAD OUT OF HELL-Anthony Flacco

    in Entertainment

From 1926 to 1928, Gordon Stewart Northcott committed at least 20 murders on a chicken ranch outside of Los Angeles. His thirteen- year-old nephew, Sanford Clark, was the sole surviving victim of the killing spree. Forced to take part in the murders, Sanford carried tremendous guilt all his life. Yet despite his youth and the trauma, he helped gain some justice for the dead and their families by testify- ing at Northcott's trial-which led to his conviction and execution. It was a shocking story, but perhaps the most shocking part of all is the extraordinarily ordinary life Clark went on to live as a decorated WWII vet, a devoted husband of 55 years, a loving father, and a productive citizen.

Using never-before-heard information from Sanford's son Jerry Clark-Flacco tells the real story behind the case that captivated the nation. In dramatizing one of the darkest cases in American crime, Flacco constructs a riveting psychological drama about how Sanford was able to detoxify himself from the evil he'd encountered, offering the ultimately redemptive story of one man's remarkable ability to survive a nightmare and emerge intact. Cardinals vs. Ravens preview: Joe Flacco is not elite and how the Ravens can win

    in Football

With the Arizona Cardinals and Baltimore Ravens set to play one another on Monday Night Football, we have to preview the show, right? Naturally. So this episode is actually about the Ravens. Host Jess Root brings on Matthew Stevens, lead editor for Baltimore Beatdown, the SB Nation Baltimore Ravens site, to talk about the Ravens and their tough start to the season.

We find out the Ravens had huge expectations, with aspirations of competing for the Super Bowl. Then things fell apart with key injuries.

He also tells us that quarterback Joe Flacco is not elite (gasp), but he is really good. And strangely enough, with one of the best running backs in the league, a top 10 QB, a great run-stopping defense and a bunch of sacks, they can't win. But their close games are because they do things well.

Stevens tells us how the Ravens can win and how they can lose.

Make sure to have a listen and to head to Revenge of the Birds for more Cardinals coverage.
