Baltimore Ravens Pregame Show with Alan Z & Tavares Gooden

    in Football

Join Alan Zlotorzynski of Fanspeak.com and former Ravens & 49ers linebacker Tavares Gooden, this morning at 11:00 a.m., for the Baltimore Ravens Pregame Show, presented by Fanspeak.com, EarnestByner21.com & Luxury Tax Inc.

Today, the Baltimore Ravens (9-5), winners in four of their past five games, travel to play the Houston Texans (7-7) at NRG Stadium. Coming off a 20-12 victory over Jacksonville last week, Baltimore is seeking its sixth playoff berth in the past seven years. Houston, which dropped a 17-10 decision at Indianapolis on Sunday, is 3-3 at home this season.

In seven all-time meetings between the Ravens and Texans, Baltimore holds a 6-1 advantage, including a 2011 Divisional playoff victory. Several former Ravens return to where their NFL careers began. Owen Daniels, Jacoby Jones, Justin Forsett and former Texans Head Coach Gary Kubiak all return to Houston---Daniels and Kubiak for the first time since leaving.

Entering Week 16, the Ravens own the AFC’s sixth playoff spot. Baltimore is in a tight race in the ultra-competitive AFC North, which is the only division in the NFL where three teams are at least three games above .500. The Ravens, who have already played five of their six division games (a Week 17 home battle with the Browns remains), are a half-game behind leader Cincinnati (9-4-1). Pittsburgh is also 9-5, and currently owns a tiebreaker over Baltimore, while Cleveland is 7-7

Alan & Tavares will breakdown todays contest. They will tell you how the Ravens can contain JJ Watt, continue to sack the opposing quarterback and come out of Houston with their 10th win of the 2014 campaign. You will hear from players such as Joe Flacco, former Texans TE Owen Daniels, JJ Watt, Andrea Johnson, Arian Foster and former Houston Head Coach Gary Kubiak. You will also hear from Coach Harbs, Timmy Jernigan & others.

The guys will of course be joined by former Ravens, Redskins and Browns RB, Earnest Byner, who will come and deliver his weekly “Coaches Corner” segment, sponsored by EarnestByner21.com and his new book Everybody Fumbles.

The great former players don’t stop there tonight. Former Ravens first round draft pick, Cornerback, Duane Starks (@DStarks22) will join the show as tonight’s special guest. Starks, who intercepted Giants QB Kerry Collins for a pick six in Super Bowl XXXV, was drafted by the Ravens 10th overall in 1998 and also played for Arizona, New England & Oakland.

Alan, Tavares and Earnest will break down the Ravens big win in Miami yesterday. Led by the tenacious pass rush of Elvis Dumervil (3.5 sacks) & QB play of Joe Flacco, who threw 2 TD passes and ran for another score, the Ravens overcame a slow start to post a 28-13 victory.

Join Alan Zlotorzynski & Tavares Gooden, today at 11:00 a.m. for the BALTIMORE RAVENS PREGAME SHOW, presented by Fanspeak.com, The Fanspeak Radio Network, The Birds of Baltimore.com and EarnestByner21.com.

The Baltimore Ravens (7-5), winners in two of their past three games, travel to play at the Miami Dolphins (7-5), who own a 3-2 mark at Sun Life Stadium this season. Today’s matchup is critical in the AFC playoff race with the winner taking a major step forward in possibly securing one of the remaining spots. The loser will face a steep uphill climb to make the playoffs.

Baltimore is also in a tight race in the ultra-competitive AFC North, which is the only division in the NFL where all four teams are at least two games above .500. The Ravens, who have already played five of their six division games (a Week 17 home battle with the Browns remains), are 1.5 games behind leader Cincinnati (8-3-1). Pittsburgh and Cleveland are also 7-5, but Baltimore holds tie-breakers over each team.

Despite taking a 10-point, fourth-quarter lead (30-20), the Ravens lost last Sunday to the visiting Chargers, 34-33. Behind QB Philip Rivers, San Diego scored three final-period touchdowns to secure the hard-fought victory. The Chargers converted 9 of 11 third downs (81.8%) – the best percentage ever against the Ravens – going 7-for-7 in the first half.

Alan & Tavares will break down what the Ravens must do to win today. The guys will provide you with all of the stats that matter as well as the player interviews from both teams throughout the course of the week.

The Baltimore Ravens return home to host the San Diego Chargers in a battle between 7-4 teams today. Baltimore, currently riding a two-game winning streak, is 4-1 at M&T Bank Stadium this season, emerging victorious in its last four games held in Charm City. The Chargers, who have also won two-straight games, are coming off a tight 27-24 win over St. Louis last Sunday. San Diego has not played in Baltimore since 2006, when the Ravens won 16-13.

Baltimore is in a tight race in the ultra-competitive AFC North, which is the only division in NFL history to boast all four teams at three games above .500 at any point in a season. The Ravens, who have already played five of their six division games this year (a Week 17 home battle with the Browns remains), are a half game behind leader Cincinnati (7-3-1). Pittsburgh and Cleveland are also 7-4, but Baltimore holds tie-breakers over each team

Alan & Tavares will breakdown the keys to a Ravens win and you will hear from the coaches and players that will participate in today’s critical AFC matchup.

Baltimore Ravens Pregame Show, Presented by Fanspeak.com

    in Football

Join Alan Zlotorzynski (@zlotsports) and Tavares Gooden (@TGoof52), this morning at 11:00 a.m. for the BALTIMORE RAVENS PREGAME SHOW. Today’s show is presented by the Fanspeak Radio Network and sponsored by Fanspeak.com, the Birds of Baltimore.com, Luxury Tax Inc. and Fanduel.com.

Happy Anniversary to the Ravens pregame show, today the guys celebrate 4 years by breaking down today’s contest vs. the Tennessee Titans at M&T Bank Stadium. The Ravens (5-4) host the Titans (2-6) in a battle that kicks off at 1 p.m. The Ravens, who have played four of their past five games on the road, return home to Charm City, where they have won three straight and are 3-1 this season. Tennessee enters the week coming off a bye.

After holding first place in their division just two weeks ago, Baltimore has dropped two-straight games and now stands fourth in the ultra-competitive AFC North – the NFL’s only division that boasts four teams above .500. The Ravens, who have already played five of their six division games this season (a Week 17 home battle with the Browns remains), are behind Cincinnati (5-2-1), Pittsburgh (6-3) and Cleveland (5-3) in the standings.

The Ravens look to bounce back after last Sunday’s 43-23 defeat at Heinz Field, where Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger threw 6 TDs to avenge a Week 2 loss in Baltimore. Following today’s game vs. Tennessee, Baltimore will have its bye before heading to New Orleans for a Monday Night Football showdown on Nov. 24. The Ravens will then host San Diego on Nov. 30 and travel to Miami (Dec. 7) after that.
