WORLD WIDE AFRICA THE VOICE OF THE PAN AFRICAN MOVEMENT

    in Politics

"I believe in God, who made of one blood all nations that on earth dwell. I believe that all men, black and brown and white are brothers, varying through time and opportunity, in from a gift and feature, but differing in no essential particular, and alike in soul and the possibility of infinite development. Especially do I believe in the Negro race: in the beauty of genius, the sweetness of its soul, and its strength in that meekness which shall inherit this turbulent earth.  I believe in Pride of race and lineage and self: in pride of self so,deep as a scorn injustice to other selves; in pride of lineage so great as to despise no man's father; in pride of race so chivalrous as neither to offer bastardized to the weak nor beg wedlock of the strong, knowing that men may be brothers in Christ, even though they be not brothers in - Law.  I believe in Service --humble, reverent service, from the blackening of boots to the whitening of souls; for work is Heaven, Idleness Hell, and Wage is "Well done!" Of the Master, who summoned all them that labor and are heavy laden, making no distinction black sweating cotton hands or Georgia and the first families of Virginia, since all distinction not based on deeds is devilish and not divine.  I believe in the Devil and his angels, who want only work to the narrow opportunity for struggling human beings, especially if they be black; who spit in the faces of the fallen, strike them that cannot strike again, believe the worst and work to prove it. Hating the image which their Maker stamped on a brother's soul."

  • Do I tell the truth....or live in denial?

    in Self Help

This level that we will be discussing from my book Building Blocks of Recovery is called the I SPEAK level.  Yup, it is blocked by denial but how do we know if we are telling the "truth" or are just allowing denial to continue?

Join me on Monday August 3 at 8 PM PST to chat about the difference between polite, denial and the truth.  Share with me a time that you wished you hadn't " told the truth".  The call in number is 646 716 5901.

( PS I will give you a hint, pause and breathe first!! LOL!)

Celebrating our 500th episode with some NFL Training Camp news

    in Sports

In the episode of The Red Light Sports Ramble, presented by The Red Light Sports Network, Evan Witalison and Troy Otradovec celebrate their 500th Blog Talk episode.  We would like to thank everyone who has listen to an episode, or called the show.  Tonight we will recap the weekend in sports, and then talk about NFL training camp.

Even before the first preseason game, there are some big names finding their way to the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list. Jadeveon Clowney is recovering from knee surgery, and could return to the field on August 17th.  New Dallas Cowboy running back Darren McFadden, is nursing a hamstring injury.  Do you think that some injuries are due to a limited number of Organized Team Activities (OTA's) in the offseason?  Listen in and call the show.
