    in Music

James Lee Taylor is an English-born, Los Angeles-based actor and writer, born and raised on the beaches of Canvey Island in Essex. His father a comedian and his mother a successful model, James was born with entertainment in his blood.  He started modelling at age 15, working with Nivea, Valentino and the coveted Calvin Klein to name just a few, and signed with IMG and Select Model Management.  After a decade of modelling, James was introduced to the world of the stage and immediately discovered that acting was his true passion. After honing his craft with the world famous Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York, James went on to land the lead roles in two major off-Broadway shows, The Tiger and Tesla.  Testing his skills on short film Deep Water, James realised he was most at home on camera. In January 2014, James made the jump out to Los Angeles and signed with Innovative Artists, Schumacher Management and Core MGMT.  His commitment to his new path was immediately rewarded when he became the face of the Three Olives Vodka, taking over from brand ambassador Clive Owen.  The mesmerising ‘Werewolf of London’ campaign earned James his heartthrob status, which then led to him being cast in BET Network’s Being Mary Jane.  His recurring role as Gabrielle Union’s love interest is an exciting and developing story which we look forward to exploring...

    in Music

Deitrick Haddon is a multi-faceted, award winning, creative juggernaut.  As a singer, songwriter, arranger and producer, the Detroit native’s inspirational musical ministry has touched souls globally.  The star of Oxygen network’s popular reality series Preachers of L.A also serves as executive producer of the Preachers franchise, and with the formation of DHVisions, a new partnership with Entertainment One Music, this son of a preacher is delving further into developing television and film projects while still delivering progressive gospel music that feeds the soul. Masterpiece, Deitrick’s latest contemporary, uplifting and inspired body of work reflects his self-professed maturation toward his destiny of greatness.

Being bold is a big part of being an artist. You’ve got to be willing to act intrepidly at the right moments. Natalie La Rose knows just when to be bold. Her debut single for I.M.G./Republic Records “Somebody” [featuring Jeremih] will undoubtedly get the dance floor moving. Over smooth production from Future Classic, the song updates the melody from Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” for a new millennium. Natalie’s voice takes the spotlight in between a sexy hook from Jeremih.

On Air With David Duane w/ Special Guest: Tank & August Rigo

    in Music

While making his seventh full-length album, SLP2 [R&B Money/Atlantic Records], Tank posed a crucial question. “What does cutting edge R&B sound like in 2016?” he asks. He answered that question by crafting the long-awaited sequel to his influential 2007 opus, Sex, Love & Pain. That album not only provided a blueprint for the likes of Chris Brown, Trey Songz, and more, but it also debuted at #2 on the Billboard Top 200 and earned a Grammy Award nomination for “Best R&B Album,” while its #1 single “Please Don’t Go” became nominated for “Best R&B Male Vocal Performance.” Following 2014’s Stronger, Tank once again captured a creative spirit that resembled the process behind his seminal third body of work.As far as sequels go, Tank knew he had to go even bigger to make SLP2 the blockbuster audiences desired. In addition to cameos from Shawn Stockman of Boyz II Men and Yo Gotti, he assembled a new West Coast anthem in the form of the Tank produced “Birthday” with a little help from Chris Brown, Problem, and Siya. He also teamed up with TGT collaborator and producer Brandon “BAM” Hodge to “help set the musical tone,” of this new project.

    in Music

Three-time Grammy Award nominated 368 Music Group & Entertainment One recording artist Raheem DeVaughn is one of the most exciting R&B artists of the 21st century. His fifth studio album, Love, Sex, and Passion, released in February 2015, debuted at #1 on the Billboard R&B chart and #2 on Billboard's Independent Album chart. It continues to be propelled by radio hits "Queen" and "Temperature's Rising". In addition to his musical interests, Raheem is equally passionate about the various philanthropic initiatives run by his charity organization, The LoveLife Foundation. Launched in April 2014, the foundation currently focuses on youth education, HIV/AIDS research, and domestic violence prevention. Throughout the tour, Raheem and The LoveLife Foundation will be hosting their national "Queen for a Day" campaign against domestic violence.

Having received recognition for her writing credits on Christina Aguilera’s ‘Lotus’, Rihanna’s dancehall hit “Cockiness” and Springsteen inspired “American Oxygen”, and most recently, for her vocal contributions on Dr. Dre’s ‘Compton’, Candice Pillay now takes center stage as she releases her debut Interscope EP ‘The High’. Featuring five original compositions, ‘The High’ is an equal balance of upbeat pop electronica and sensual RnB songs. Candice’s powerfully sensual voice and catchy lyrics are a constant throughout the EP and encourage more than a single listen. From playing local gigs to releasing mixtapes, Pillay eventually found herself in the studio with Rihanna penning the single “Cockiness”.  Candice was recenetly sought out to provide vocals on “Genocide” and “Medicine Man” from Dr. Dre’s 2015 release ‘Compton’.

On Air With David Duane w/ R&B Recording Artist: Avant & Luke Christopher

    in Music

Avant is a name that has been used in the context of being original or innovative but the singer/songwriter from Cleveland has transformed the word into a powerhouse brand. Since breaking out on the music scene with his first platinum hit singles, “Separated” and “My First Love”—he has been on a non-stop journey having released seven albums in the last 15 years.

Avant has toured with some of the biggest names in the R&B world from Joe, Jagged Edge and Keith Sweat. He is preparing for the new album release, The VIII in September 2015. This spring he released the debut single from the album, “Special” which is romantic song that breathes new life into love and commitment.

Luke Christopher isn’t about to wait around for anybody. Instead of relying on singers or producers, the Los Angeles rapper can belt out a hook with the best of them, and he remains an accomplished producer and beat maker in his own right. On his two new EPs YSTRDY and TMRW for ByStorm Entertainment/RCA Records, his singular vision only starts to unfold, encompassing airtight rhymes, cinematic storytelling, keen wit, and a little bit of wisdom.

Growing up in the San Fernando Valley, music surrounded Luke. At a young age, his father turned him on to the likes of Elton John, U2, Michael Jackson, and Stevie Wonder. However, hip-hop found him one Christmas when 2Pac’s All Eyez On Me sat under the tree. In high school, he converted the bottom bed of his bunk beds into a makeshift studio. There, he taught himself how to rap, sing, and compose beats. By his seventeenth birthday, he was ready to be properly heard, and major labels clamored for this strangely soulful and emotionally expansive style.

On Air With David Duane w/ Special Guest: Monica x Eric Bellinger x Rotimi

    in Music

Beep, beep, beep – An alarm sounds. Lights flash. Everyone is on alert. Emergency protocol in effect. It’s a Code Red state of emergency. Soul music is in trouble and one of the greatest R&B singers of a generation is sounding the alarm. Whispered voices have been expressing their concern for some time. Industry insiders talk of a change in the musical direction at radio. Critics blame millennials. Millennials blame the music. Artists blame each other. And everyone blames the Internet. But that’s not the whole story. Soul music is alive and well and “people love it when introduced to it properly,” R&B/Pop icon Monica explains. However, concerned about the future of the genre she loves so much, Monica returns with her seventh studio album appropriately titled Code Red.

Rotimi is best known for co-starring in the hit series, “Power” alongside Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and Omari Hardwick. While Rotimi has a thriving career as a television star, he is also excelling in his music career. Rotimi’s new single “Lotto,” features his co-star 50 cent and has quickly turned into a summer hit reaching over 530,000 plays on SoundCloud.

Born and raised in Compton, CA, Eric Bellinger is well known in the music industry as a critically acclaimed songwriter and now as a solo R&B artist with sinfully smooth vocals and an affinity for soulful songwriting.  Since 2013, he's racked up more than 80 song placements while co-penning hits for such pop and R&B stars as Usher, Justin Bieber, and Chris Brown. He also won his first Grammy Award as one of the collaborators on Brown's best R&B-crowned album, F.A.M.E. ".

On Air With David Duane w/ R&B Recording Artist: Tiffany Evans

    in Music

Tiffany Evans’ powerhouse vocals will command the attention of anyone in her surrounding area. The South Bronx native got her start in 2003 as a contestant on the hit singing competition show, Star Search, hosted by comedian Arsenio Hall. The pint-sized singer’s powerful voice crushed her competition, leading her to be crowned Grand Champion. Tiffany made Star Search history, as she was the only contestant to ever receive a perfect score on all her performances.

Tiffany’s victory sparked the interest of major labels including Columbia Records. After performing for executives, Tiffany was offered a recording contract on the spot in 2003.  In between working on her debut album, Tiffany explored her acting skills as she picked up roles in CBS’ The District, Tyler Perry’s film Diary of a Mad Black Woman and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. In 2008, Tiffany released her self-titled debut album, which included hit singles “Promise Ring” featuring Ciara and “I’m Grown” featuring Bow Wow. Executive produced by The Clutch and Ciara, TIFFANY EVANS debuted at No. 4 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Albums chart.
