@wcsteelerfan, aka James E King III presents 'Tha PUGILIST KOrner, our weekly show dedicated to the art of boxing, on both the amatuer and professional levels.
As with every infant, the PUGILIST KOrner began as a seed. After listening to so many 'boxing shows', I wanted to create something totally different Most shows I heard had hosts' and panelists' crowing their expertise and resounding boxing knowledge. What happened to the fighter? My show is about the fighter and this beloved Sport we watch and anticipate with baited breath. We interview all of the fighters with a sense of respect and admiration, they deserve, for entertaining us, with their craft.
When schedules permit, I'll be joined by a guest co-host boxer, past or present, Join us as I interview our various guests, review the bouts of the week, talk about upcoming matches, and answer questions posed by callers/listeners. Watch for our 'Press Release', usually Tuesday morning, announcing our guest co-host and guests for the evening show.
Call in (718) 506-1506 or listen. We look forward to having you in our audience, in the very near future.
Tonight Pop Art Painter Jamie Roxx (www.JamieRoxx.us) welcomes award-winning singer-songwriter Bernie Nelson to the Show.
His first No.1 single, “Daddy Never Was The Cadillac Kind,” is now a country music standard with Million-Airplay status. It’s no wonder his name is among the A-list for hit songwriters. Now he’s taking his songwriting talent solo in his own career as a recording artist, and he’s started off running. Everyone who’s anyone in the music industry has been out supporting his new album, Blue.

In many situations we see our decisions as an ‘either/or’ dilemma. Author and Ph.D. Bernie Mayer argues in his new book, The Conflict Paradox, Seven Dilemmas at the Core of Disputes, that the real challenge is to find a new path that incorporates both approaches. These apparently opposing conflict practices need not be mutually exclusive—in fact, each is necessary to the other.
Bernie Mayer is a Professor of Dispute Resolution, at The Werner Institute, Creighton University. For over thirty years he has been a leader in the conflict resolution field. Bernie has facilitated many complex environmental conflicts, commercial and organizational disputes, interpersonal conflicts, public decision-making processes, and has an extensive background in family mediation as well. He is a founding partner of CDR Associates, a pioneering conflict intervention firm. Bernie is the author of many books and articles. His lastest book is, The Conflict Paradox, Seven Dilemmas at the Core of Disputes.
Stephen Kotev is a Washington D.C. based conflict resolution consultant offering mediation, negotiation and facilitation services, conflict coaching, training and somatic education to private and government clients. He holds a Master of Science degree from George Mason University’s School for Conflict Analysis and Resolution and a black belt in the Japanese martial art of Aikido. Stephen is a nationally recognized expert on how to maintain your performance under pressure and the Chair of the Association for Conflict Resolution’s Taskforce on Safety in ADR.
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.”
These 45 words make up the complete First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. For many of us, they are the most important words ever strung into a complex sentence, because they’re the foundation for the unique American way of life.
Only individually can we and do we, choose not to hate, or not to be ignorant, or not to be racist, no law or legislation can do that, or choose that, for us. It is too great an infringement on our Liberty, to have to be selective of every word that we choose, just so we do not offend anyone. People do not have to listen to people they find offensive, or read what people have written if they find it offensive, or watch entertainment they find offensive, or look at art they find offensive. They have the power and the right to censor for themselves, but not others or society. We need to get back to the place where we once were in this Country. When people were willing to fight and die to give liberty and freedom to everyone, and not just the people they agreed with.
Freedom of Speech is valued by most people as a God given right that are so important, it must be guaranteed by the government. Americans after the Revolutionary War decided they did not want the government restricting their speech. In general, at the time of the writing of the Constitution, the concern about protecting free speech was in regard to protecting political speech.
