Imagine a work environment where you are literally in "eat or be killed" mode, and something as important as your paycheck is involved. This doesn't lend itself to a team spirit environment.
Today's guest, Kristin Sunanata Walker, CEO of Everything EHR says: "What I see in organizations where leadership has created a toxic work environment is the prevalence of health issues from mental decline, eating disorders, anxiety, PTSD, etc."
"Like the toxic village elder that wants no children to go to school lest they become smarter than he or she, narcissistic leaders keep their staff in an ever rotating position of ambiguity, gaslighting, love bombing, and paranoia. If anyone other than the leader shines too brightly this results in massive narcissistic injury. A beheading is commonplace and the longer the staff continue on in this environment the harder it will be for them to leave. They do take on the traits of their leader and live in a sheltered yet grandiose bubble of superiority on a ship of fools."
Today Kristin will discuss, among other things, what she refers to as the characters in the Narcissistic Leaders game: The cheerleader, the star, and the doldrums.
Kristin Sunanta Walker is the host of Mental Health News Radio and Mental Health After Dark. Her company everything EHR is dedicated to working within the Behavioral Health technology space helping vendors and mental health organizations create and utilize incredible tools for excellent patient care. Her book Emotional Impotence will be released in early 2017.

“The assassination of Malcolm X upset a good part of the American public. We were upset, and we tend to remain a bit on edge, not because Malcolm was a martyr to the cause of civil rights or because of any inherent contributions. he may have made to the solution of our race problems, but because he was the no compromising symbol of resistance and the spokesman for the non-nonviolent “black man” in America. We were uneasy because the murder of Malcolm X could have set off a Chinese type “tong war” within the black nationalist factions striving for leadership of the masses in the Harlem’s of America
We were aghast and dismayed by the 1964 Summer riots, by the looting and the wanton destruction of property, but the riots were not organized and led by any recognized leader, and they were riots against property rather than against people. They expressed the resentment and the hatred of the frustrated, pinned up Harlem lower class, but there were few instances of attacks against the human objects of this furry, which included the Negro middle class no less than the hated Jew and the “blue-eyed devils” whose commercial presence in Harlem is exasperatingly ubiquitous and so bitterly resented.”

Storytelling is the practice of leadership
One of the most powerful tools an organizer can choose to use is the art of storytelling. It is the context of public speaking to all sorts of audiences. Stories that tend to be more compelling answer the “why” of our values in our belief systems. Elements of the story help us gain practice in hearing and coaching others to share their stories. It is here leaders employ the head to heart method. In other words they motivate people to change.
Should you wish to contact us through email: email@example.com
We are looking to host people on the show. Do you empower others in your line of work? If so, how so? Love to hear from you my friend. Drop an email our way and share with us how you empower others.
Think Like A Lady
And Act Like One
The idea of this show is to talk about different ways we possess strength positively. We don’t need to intimidate others or others to show strength.
The strength and mindset of a man and woman are different. We will never think like a man better than he will.
God made us women, and we must embrace that. We will address what is dominated v passive, proper confrontation as a lady and embracing our feminine qualities.
