Jazzmin Sam'araye Harris aka “JazRay'e” is an aspiring young pop/r&b recording artist who has dreams of entertaining the world with her gift of voice. Music has been a part of Jaz's life from the very beginning, singing in choirs at such a young age was where her mother noticed her passion and love for music. Soon after, she began singing at family, community, school functions, and talent shows. She pretty much performed at anywhere she could. JazRay'e soon recorded her first hit single “Don't Blame Me” which turned out to be a certified hit. This song won her thousands of fans across the United States and just about every radio station had “Don't Blame Me” playing across their airwaves. It was one of those songs that stuck with you because of the message that the song was portraying, which was “don't hate me because I am cute, don't hate because of the way that I look, and that every girl is beautiful in her on way”. Not too long after that, JazRay'e cranked out another hit called “Teenage Dream”.

During peace times, the military offered such great opportunities for paid education and professional training, that many young people rushed to take advantage of this chance to improve their lives and launch a successful career. Women rightfully demanded the opportunity for a paid college education and technical training, as well as an opportunity tto use their skills in the service of their country, which was all well and good diuring peace times. But now the world is at war, and what began for many women as a simple desire to avoid paying for college as a member of the National Guard became full fledged combat duty, complete with experiences of brutal killing and bloodshed. The memories don't go away. While stories are common about men suffering post traumatic stress syndrome from military battle, what about the women? What about wo,en who must come back and resume their roles as mothers of children? Are they also having nightmares and becoming substance abusers to numb the pain from horrifying memories? After all the maimings and killings and psychological damage, what have we as women earned about war? Have we learned that we don't want to go through it again? Or are some of us excited at the thought of having the power to kill? Today we'll talk to activists who hope to heighten awarnenss about the need for therapy, counselng, and psychological repair of war veterans who have returned home from combat and are now having a major impact on their families.

Erica's mom brought her to her first audition when she was 8 years old. She didn't make the cut. But the next year, she went back to the same audition, and got the part. She hasn't stopped performing since. When she looks back at it, she's glad she didn't make the cut the first time, because that is when she learned the valuable lessons of hard work and persistence. From an early age, she realized that she is not afraid of failing, she is only afraid of never trying.
With this mindset, she put her life in a U-Haul and left her hometown of Roswell, GA to pursue Musical Theatre in NYC. She rolled into Times Square at 4am and thought, "What in the world did I get myself into?" But, of course, she couldn't trade that experience for anything. While there, she got to train with Broadway's best, travel the country with leading roles, and become both a better performer and a stronger person.
After one of her shows, she felt that God was leading her in a new direction. So, she grabbed her red cowboy boots and headed to Nashville, TN, where she knew all of 3 people. Through many divine interventions, she found herself spending her days on Music Row and getting the opportunity to collaborate with great musicians and songwriters.
She realized that her goal for theater and songwriting are one in the same: to make people feel something. It's not that she left theater behind, it's that theater has enhanced her new journey of being an artist. Keep a look out for her debut single, "This House is Haunted."
