SORT BY Relevancy
The Hon. Elizabeth B. Letchworth (retired US Senate Secretary) joins us. We'll be talking about Congress -- still in recess. (Therefore our great Republic is safe!)
Also... POTUS has delayed the Keystone pipeline approval process again this week by allowing several government agencies to further study the impact of the keystone pipeline. This, despite the fact that House Speaker John Boehner AND the Senate voted in April of '13 to permit Keystone, notwithstanding the State Dept or Obama. The vote had 62 in favor of support.
Elizabeth gives us her take on Obama's actions could affect the November elections.
Also, Harry Reid is exciting the NV cattle rancher issues because he believe the "tea party" is the gift that keeps on giving and the independent voters will think of them as "extreme and radical"-- what do you think?
We welcome our feature guest of the night hailing from Los Angeles, California: unsigned bilingual lyricist Mic Prez. “Never explain, your friends do not need it and your enemies will not believe you anyway.” -- Elbert Hubbard
Having just come through Easter, and Holy week what better way to start off the week than with a message of Hope. As many have said it’s time to put our differences aside and focus on the upcoming 2014 Mid-Terms, and the issues that we as Conservatives care about most. There are many hot button topics for all of us to consider when choosing the right Candidate.
For me personally, the fight for the un-born is number one on my list of values I will be looking for in a Candidate. If someone is not #PROLIFE they will never get my vote, period; end of story. There are many other issues out there on the table, the Keystone pipeline, stopping all the wasteful spending that continues to spiral out of control in our Government, the list goes on and on.
Please tune in Tuesday 4-22-14 night @ 10:00pm EST, we hope to see you then.

People, in general, like to remember the way things used to be. Sometimes we may focus on how an injustice was perpetrated at one point in history. It wasn't too long ago that women did not have the right to vote. And we all know how African Americans were considered three fifths a person. World War 2 allowed for Japanese internment camps and the near genocide of the Jewish people. History records great battles such as the mighty three hundred Spartans who fought against the Persian army. Christians around the world listen avidly to the narrative of David and Goliath.
The annuals of time are great fodder for stories. They take us back to either simpler or more violent time in human history. Wars, famine, oppression, social justice, equality, and many other events in history are woven into the fabric of our lives and we're all affected by it. The events of yesterday often affect the events of today and the future. As writers, we have a fantastic opportunity to use history to weave yarns of intrigue, passion, mystery, and so much more.

Press for Democracy (P1FD) is a Coffee Party Radio show that discusses the political issues of the day in a civil, fact-based, and transpartisan manner. Transpartisan is quite different from bi- or non-partisan in the we encourage callers to be passionate about their positions, but also that they listen and respond to those with differing points of view repsectfully and with a true desire to find common ground on which solutions can be built.
Tonight on P1FD . . .
Fire Them All?
In a recent Rasmussen Poll, participants were asked, “Generally speaking, would it better for the country if most incumbents in Congress were reelected or if most of them were defeated?” A whopping 72% answered “Defeated”. 19% were undecided, leaving just 9% thinking that reelecting incumbents is a good idea. This tracks very well to the current Congressional [dis]approval rating. So instead of arguing D’s vs. R’s, perhaps we should motivate the 90 million people that didn’t vote in 2012 to come out and “Fire Them All”. If that happened, could things be any worse? After all, incumbents outraise their opposition with great regularity. Wouldn’t that be a kick in the teeth to the The Kochs, Sorus, and ALEC, not to mention powerful lobbies like those from Wall Street?
Tonight, on Press for Democracy, we’ll discuss this very basic strategy and its merits, and see if it has any legs.
