Join Cassandra Mack, M.S., Founder of Strategies For Empowered Living and the Creator of the "Grab a Girlfriend and Go" movement and the women of SISTAH CHAT as we delve into the dynamics of dealing with Cattie Women. According to Cassandra, "One of the biggest indicators of a woman who is insecure within herself is unprovoked cattiness. When you are catty to another woman from the gate who you do not know or who has never done anything to you personally, you are revealing your insecurity. Whether you are catty by way of psychological jabs, insults that you try to mask as jokes, or worse.... using scripture to cut a woman down rather than build her up, if you are catty without provocation, you are hating because you are insecure at the core. To my beautiful, intelligent sisters who embrace and uplift other women.... know that when catty women pull out their claws and come for you without provocation, you don't have to lose your cool, get shook or intimidated ...just know that some cats are sensitive to light and that's why they can't stand to see you shine and they cannot tolerate your illuminating presence. While every woman has a little feline in her, it's important to keep in mind that before you gear up to tear another woman to shreds who has never done anything to you personally.....just remember that claws were made for protection and not provocation. This is what separates the lioness from the alley cat....while an alley cat will claw another cat on sight just for the heck of it, a true lioness not only embraces other lionesses but will also show love to the younger female cubs. Shine on my beautiful sisters who don't do catty for no reason. Love your life and live your dreams."
There used to be a small selection of cat foods. Not only has the brand choice expanded, they are seemly going "healthy". Wet food, soft food and ones to crunch on. What's the difference in terms of quality or being better for your lovely little "children" who own your home?
Petbrosia is a company that makes food for your specific kind of feline both in breed and age. You can't buy it at the store. Keith, one of the head honchos will tell us about the brand and why only hard food.

This week we meet Diane Jones from Guardian Angels Cat Rescue and Peaches the Cat.
Guardian Angels Cat Rescue & Adoption Shelter is an all volunteer organization operating a no kill facility for homeless felines. The Shelter operates with an upper limit of 136 resident felines onsite, and some in the care of foster homes depending upon the season. All cats that enter the Shelter are assessed by a veterinarian and once tested and cleared for Feline Leukemia and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus or other diseases are available for adoption.
Peaches the Wonder Cat was born in July 2013 and was dumped at a kill shelter when she was only 4 weeks old. It was soon discovered that she was dying from a diaphragmatic hernia....probably from being thrown or kicked... Luckily a wonderful vet was able to do emergency surgery and she survived, despite the odds, and made a full recovery. Her growth, however, was stunted because she was unable to absorb nutrients in the first few months of her life so she is very tiny.

Most conscious consumers know better than to buy processed foods for themselves, much less for their pets. Especially with the pet food industry being a $53 billion dollar unregulated industry, more and more pet parents are opting to make their own pet food because of the issues with pet food recalls and incorporation of euthanized animals in the pet foods available on the market. However, making your own pet food is not as easy as one may think. There are certain foods you cannot feed your pets and making your own food doesn't always guarantee that your finicky feline or canine will eat it. In addition, the meals must be nutritionally balanced which is often a huge problem for many pet owners, especially if they are not given proper guidance by someone who has been trained in pet nutrition. Susan Thixton, Founder of TruthAboutPetFood, a world renowned authority on pet food decided to create an actual cookbook in conjunction with Dr. Cathy Alinovi, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. The best-selling book, Dinner PAWsible, which was recently released, has been eagerly anticipated by pet parents around the globe. In this segment of The Organic View Radio Show, tune in to host, June Stoyer talk to Susan Thixton and Dr. Cathy Alinovi about how you can make your own pet food that is completely balanced and nutritious. In this unique collection, Uvi Poznansky brings together diverse tales, laden with shades of mystery and the macabre. There are four of them: I Am What I Am; I, Woman; The Hollow; and The One Who Never Leaves. Here, you will come into a dark, strange world, a hyper-reality where nearly everything is firmly rooted in the familiar—except for some quirky detail that twists the yarn, and takes it for a spin in an unexpected direction.
This is the reality you will see in a biblically inspired hell, through the eyes of a ghost of a woman, trying to reclaim her name by appealing to the devil; the eyes of a clay figure of a woman, about to be fired in the kiln, longing for her Creator; the eyes of a woman in the midst of a free fall, about to become a ghost; and the eyes of a feline creature with cracked fangs, trying in vain to resign herself, by hook and by crook, to being locked. These characters explore their identity, and challenge their fate.
Inspired by her art, by quotes from literature and the bible, and by the author’s professional career, these tales come from different times and places. Yet all of them share one thing in common: an unusual mind, one that is twisted. So prepare yourself: keep the lights on.

Dr. Roger exposes the fact that money donated to animal rescue often does not ultimately make it to the animals it is supposedly meant to benefit. In contrast, Dr. Roger will be interviewing Katherine Johnson, Director of Friends for Animals Sactuary, as an example of true animal rescue transparency, with every penny of money raised directly going to provide health care and homes for abandoned animals. With land having recently been attained in part from a grant from a generous, animal loving land owner, Katherine's ultimate goal is to build an unprecidented no kill animal sanctuary in Florida's Spacecoast. Be sure to tune in to get a glimpse of what real animal rescue looks like. Dr. Roger and his guest will be addressing live questions/comments live on the air, so e-mail all comments to email@example.com.
