Mary and I discuss her "Translation" of the Federalist Papers. Additionally, she has written "The United States Constitution: Annotated with The Federalist Papers In Modern English"
Please join us as we discuss the political landscape in light of the Founding Fathers and their points of view.
Patrick will be discussing the Federalist Papers with us this evening. We left off on 12, but because 28 and 29 are SO relevant to us at this time we feel we need to discuss these two.
I strongly urge that you familiarize y0urselves with the thoughts and words of our founders in the following Federalist Papers.
Federalist Paper 28 -- Hamilton
Federalist Paper 46 -- Madison
Our forefathers are speaking to us.
Welcome back Patrick! Join us this evening as Pat continues his lessons on the Federalist Papers. We will be picking up with lesson 10 and 11 and time pending, continue with lesson 12.
“Liberty is to faction what air is to fire, an aliment without which it instantly expires,” James Madison eloquently wrote in The Federalist number 10. He continued, “But it could not be less folly to abolish liberty, which is essential to political life, because it nourishes faction, than it would be to wish the annihilation of air, which is essential to animal life, because it imparts to fire its destructive agency.”
“…the smaller the number of individuals composing a majority, and the smaller the compass within which they are placed, the more easily will they concert and execute their plans of oppression. Extend the sphere, and you take in a greater variety of parties and interests; you make it less probable that a majority of the whole will have a common motive to invade the rights of other citizens[.]” (No. 10)
It's been exactly a year since The MADASHECC Radio Show covered any Federalist Papers. But in that year, these next set of papers have become far more relevant. So now is a good time to press on with these publications. We'll be talking about defense and the militia.
You need to know this information, now more than ever. So tune in!
We are not able to do a show tonight but will be back tomorrow with the next lesson on the Federalist Papers
To refresh your memory this show is the last one that we did on them. You may also want to listen to the others if you missed them, the first one was July 16, then July 23, August 27 and September 3.
Pat Noonan discusses The Federalist Papers in the first hour of the show. Then Dale Pflug will join us as they continue to discuss the Federalist Papers and the Constitution.
Do you need to know about the Constitution? America has lots of problems today! Most people aren't interested in what is wrong, because they don't understand the principles of what is right. Socialism might be appealing if you don't know the difference between freedom and slavery. Do you know why we have a Bill of Rights and how to use it today? When we learn about what is right, recognize what is wrong and our weapons to restore America, then we can really do something about getting back the America that once was!
Dale Pflug, Les Lob and John Larson do a weekly radio show called Principles of Freedom from Sebring, FL. 3 old guys taking the time to know and speak the truth! We also do seminars on the Declaration of Independence, The US Constitution including the Bill of Rights for community groups, churches, anyone that will listen. We are bi-partisan! That means we give equal criticism to all parties that are tearing down America, regardless of party, philosophy, color, preference, etc. And we like to laugh at idiots and fools! If they are dumb enough to say it, we are happy enough to give them proper recognition!
Continuing on with our Federalist Papers series, this week we will discuss Federalist 15-20. Tune in to hear what Hamilton and Madison had to say in this week's highlighted papers.
