Claudia founded and led stone circles (www.stonecircles.org) for 17 years; in 2007 she and others created The Stone House, one of the country's first centers to integrate spiritual practice and social justice, on 70 acres of land in North Carolina. In two weeks she starts her next adventure as Interim Executive Director of the Rothko Chapel (www.rothkochapel.org) in Houston, TX. Her first Open Dharma retreat was in 2005 in Rishikesh and she has been deeply resting ever since.
The talk, "Riding the Wave", will explore how we can meet various experiences in our lives, particularly those that we see as difficult or challenging. Instead of jumping off the wave through various forms of distractions, what happens when we make space for both the emotions and sensations that are closer to the surface and the deeper truth of who we are and what is real? ( 30 minutes talk)

As a homeowner, real estate broker and Realtor I know a few people in the real estate industry. From mortgage bankers to home inspectors, I tend to know them all. Last week, I was honored when one of those professionals asked me to list their home for sale. That’s always a big ego boost because, it’s kind of like winning a Emmy or Grammy. Sure, I don’t get a little gold statue or anything but, I do get the recognition from my peer and that is important. Unlike the general public, my peer, my colleague knows what to expect from his listing agent and the cool part is, he trust that I can provide it. Like my colleague, many of you out there will utilize a listing agent to sell your home and I thought to myself, wouldn’t you like to know what an industry insider looks for when he chooses a listing agent. Better yet, I put myself in your shoes and wondered how would I leverage my personal knowledge of the real estate industry and my local market expertise to pick the right agent to list my own home? Well, this really got my wheels a turning because, I stopped and asked myself, do I provide the same level of service to my listing clients, that I would expect from a agent listing my home? I am proud to say, Yes, most of the time, I think I do. In fact, it was this very thought process that lead me to create my Top 10 Expectations of a Listing Agent. The show today, is going to be all about what someone like myself, a experienced real estate broker would look for in a listing agent and how you, as a homeowner, with little to no real estate experience can use my top 10 expectations to ensure you choose the correct agent for your home.

Today on "It's My House" we shall complete this weeks sessons on PAC (Political Action Committee) formation.
A vital part of that will be taking a look at "The Million Man March" which took place on October 16, 1995. That was (19) years ago.
Since then we have elected President Obama, we have First Lady Obama, and we have Attorney General Eric Holder. Very good progress on those fronts.
However we lost Trayvon Martin and Michael Brown (both who had not been born yet in 1995). In addition, Detroit, Michigan has gone bankrupt, Toledo, Ohio has a water problem, and many people who lost their homes.
There was Two Billion Dollars of potential PAC money on the Washington Mall in 1995, but were there any PAC's or "Think Tanks" formed ? We shall also take a look at what "White Supremacy" REALLY (looks like); then we must discuss what shall we do today ?
There are Three ways for businesses to create more profits..1) make new sales 2) Increase frequency and 3) increase the amount spent per transaction. The most direct influence on all 3 of these ways to increase your profits have to do with your communication with the client or prospect. After the first contact it is all about the follow-up. 90% of Sales people don’t follow up enough and are leaving cash on the table. Ouch!
On this weeks show we will talk about follow-up, why it is important what are the best methods.
Our Guest for this show is Andrea Koochin
Andrea has worked in marketing and promotion for the over 20 years. She has solid background in understanding client preferences through her extensive experience in market research, Television production and infomercials with companies like Time Life and Guthie Renker. Through her experience, she discovered that these large promotions treated people like numbers and often fell short and don’t communicate in a way that create loyal customers. As a result , Andrea turned her focus to small to medium businesses to address the follow up process because this is what truly builds the relationship. And Andrea is passionate about relationships .
