Federal Judge Overturns DC Gun Ban

    in News

This week, a federal judge overturned Washington DC's 2009 gun ban saying it was unconstitutional. DC has some of the strictest (and most confusing) gun laws, but they're not without challenge. John Lott, president of Crime Prevention Research Center joins Joe to discuss the implications of this new ruling that wipes out the DC gun ban. Will we start seeing regular citizens in DC with guns holstered? Tune in!

Have you had your healthy dose of reality lately?

There are always at least two sides to every story. Have you ever wondered how someone, who saw the same thing you did, walked away telling a vastly different story? Which version was correct? Which one was the REAL story? Actually, both are! It’s just a matter of perspective.

Joe takes the issues… especially the controversial issues (politics, prejudice, religion, illegal immigration)… and brings in people from different sides to share their viewpoint. This is definitely not a fluff piece. And while no one is attacked, the questions are hard-hitting.

But the conversation is always respectful and you’re sure to learn something new, even if you don’t agree!

If you’ve always wondered how the “other side” thinks and how they’ve arrived at their “stand”, then this is the show for you!

It’s not the right side, it’s not the wrong side, but the REAL side of the issues!

Kanye for Prez! - more Climate Change Garbage - Miley Cyrus role model?

    in Pop Culture

Hr1  Did Kanye West really say he was going to run for president? God help us!

President Obama doubles-down on the climate change lie while touring Alaska. Does he realize how many global warming predictions have failed over the last 40 years?

Hr2  Man on the street, Mark Dice, asks people to sign the petition to "support illiteracy." Yep, they're signing it.

Academics ponder the question... are religions a virus of the mind?

Los Angeles ICE arrest 244 illegals. MOST already had criminal convictions.

If we're really going to be compassionate to immigrants, shouldn't we clear the path for those who've been waiting for years and years and years and years... instead of just giving law-breaking illegals the right to stay ahead of those doing the process legally?

Hr3  Pop culture: Miley Cyrus, Paris Hilton, and Kanye West.

Jesse Watters asks, can white men ever be oppressed? Northeastern University seems to think that's the case.

Federal judge orders release of information that would tie Obama to IRS scandal. Anyone think that info will ever come out?

Discussing the racial breakdown in sports.

  • Guest: Pamela Havey Lau - Friendship & Judge Sentences Christian to Jail in KY

Guest: Pamela Havey Lau - Friendship  &  Judge Sentences Christian to Jail in KY.

Pamela Havey Lau joins us for her second interview to discuss her book  A Friend in Me: How to Be A Safe Haven for Other Women

Young women long for relational connection with women further ahead of them on the journey. Yet, without realizing it, many of us tend to distance ourselves from those in younger generations. Can we really have close relationships with women who have different thoughts on church, different experiences with family, and different ways of talking about God? Where do we start?

In A Friend in Me, Pam Lau shows you how to be a safe place for the younger women in your life. She offers five patterns women need to internalize and practice for initiating relationships and talking about issues such as faith, forgiveness, sexuality, and vocation. Most significantly, she reminds you that there doesn’t need to be a divide between generations of women. Together, we can have a global impact—and experience a deeper faith than we’ve ever known.

"Who made you judge and jury" Part II

    in The Bible

"Who made you judge and jury"  Part II

    Matthews 7:1-12

It has been said that when you point a finger at someone they are several pointing back at you. Many people use this verse in an attempt to silence their critics, interpreting Jesus’ meaning as “You don’t have the right to tell me I’m wrong.”  They know that their actions don’t line up with the Word of God, but they don’t but feel you have the right to call them out or maybe they know something about you that don’t line up either.

Shriekfest Radio! Denise Gossett interviews filmmaker/writer David Siudzinski!

    in Paranormal

David Siudzinski is a filmmaker who has written fourteen feature-length screenplays, which have garnered awards from Shriekfest, Indie Gathering, Beverly Hills, Fresh Voices, and Austin Film Festival.

He has created numerous short films and an online news series.

He is currently producing a documentary on the chess coach of Former World Chess Champion Bobby Fischer. His documentary, originally capturing the life and times of Reverend International Grandmaster William J. Lombardy, has morphed into a tale about how Reverend Lombardy’s landlord has been trying to unlawfully evict him (and other disabled seniors) from their places of residence for decades so as to kick out rent-stabizated tenants, in violation of New York State Laws.

In the process of helping Reverend Lombardy from being evicted, my Director of Photography and I have discovered that the state courts and state agencies are favoring professional landlords in violation of the United States Constitution.

The documentary will show how the Federal District Court will rule on a pending motion for a preliminary injunction and restraining order against New York City Housing Court, and what will ultimately happen to a legendary Grandmaster.
