The Queen Me Show: Breaking The Curse

    in Radio

A curse is any expressed wish that some form of adversity or misfortune will befall or attach to some other entity—one or more persons, a place, or an object. In particular, "curse" may refer to a wish that harm or hurt will be inflicted by any supernatural powers, such as a spell, a prayer, an imprecation, an execration, magic, wichcraft, God, a natural force, or a spirit. In many belief systems, the curse itself (or accompanying ritual) is considered to have some causative force in the result. To reverse or eliminate a curse is called removal or breaking, and is often believed to require equally elaborate rituals or prayers. Why do we believe that if our mothers and grand mothers never married that marriage will not be an option for self? Why do we believe that just because your family has a history of cancer that its possible you will have it too? Why do we believe that curses is placed on us and if we believe do we believe we can break the spell?

Keeping Work Zones Moving with Traffic Incident Management

    in Social Networking

Work zones pose challenges for drivers.  When drivers come to a work zone they need to understand the messages that they are receiving from signs, roadway devices, and other visual cues that create the need for them to change their driving behavior.  In today’s distracted environment, physical changes to the roadway such as reduced lane width, abrupt lane shifts and short interstate ramps can complicate driving.

Work zones pose challenges for emergency responders.  Often work zones create confined spaces for emergency responders to do their own work in.  In some cases, crews have to respond in the opposite direction of travel, they have to gain access to work areas, and they have to be sure to pre-stage equipment.  Coordinating with construction crews is a secret to success and the Iowa Department of Transportation has tapped into this secret.

In this episode of TIM Network Podcasts, John Wilson with the Iowa Department of Transportation will talk about their Traffic Critical Projects Program.

    in Fitness

Don't be to hard on yourself, even our greates Presidents made GREAT MISTAKES.  Extrapolated from Chicago Tribune-Perspective.

Feb 16, 2015 we celebrated President's Day but did you know that some of America's greatest leaders were racists, imperialists, philanderers, abusers of power, deniers of rights and just plain misguided people.

On the other hand, they also took bold and risky steps to keep us FREE and we might not even have a country if it weren't for them.

Human beings are like that, full of contradictions.

    STAY TUNED...

Cults of personality are the enemy of democracy...etc.

    The GOOD and the BAD...etc.

    FDR abused his power by...etc.

    Abe, leaving citizens jailed...etc.

HOTEP KENYATTA: Language is a tool of oppression/freedom

    in Education

Hotep Kenyatta (Dr Shaka Blaka) speaks re:  Language can be a tool of oppression. Clearly few people want to connect themselves to Africa? Why.  Because from the 7th century AD onwards, powerful scholars took a passage from Jewish ancient holy texts and misrepresented it as though "dark skin is a curse from God, who cursed Noah's son Ham for seeing his father naked and drunk, etc"     Since then, there have been various efforts to hide the black/african nature of all civilization/humanity, and language has not been spared the racists/white nationalists sword of destruction.  (NOTE: Let's also remember that an ancient African, or Native South American language may be represented in Latin Script (letters, characters) but that this never means that the original language is Latin/Roman. Only the writing style used to represent the ancient African, etc sounds/spoken language.  People get this confused so often, and brainwashing is hard to fix when people don't know they're brainwashed...!

Also listen in for how the concept of ETYMOLOGY is used in racist way.
