Playing Forgotten Music on 78 RPM Records by Curt Hahn

Four Aces with Al Alberts Sin / Arizona Moon

    Side A Arlene Music 3:10 Written by Shull-Haven 1952 (Shellac, 10")

Side B Victoria Records V-101B “Arizona Moon”
    Rock, Doo Wop

Side B Ascap Myers Music 2:50 Written Alberts-McCall

Arizona Moon is dedicated to all the people and places I have visited along the I-10 in Arizona

AL Alberts from South Philadelphia,  had worked with the big bands of Jan  Savitt and  Elliot Lawrence before World War II, played piano, and sang in a powerful tenor. His Navy Shipmate  Dave Mahoney from Chester,PA. played fine tenor sax and  also sang vocal parts. After WWII and Returning to Chester in 1956, Alberts and Mahoney enlisted the aid of record owner Marty Caruso who rounded up two more members: Rosario "Sod" Vaccaro, who sang baritone and played trumpet, and Louis Silvestri, drummer and bass voice. After failing to find a distributor for their debut single "(It's No) Sin," Alberts founded his own Victoria label. It became a big hit in late 1951 and sold a million copies  Al Alberts left the Four Aces in 1956.
