Famine of hearing the word
Famine-a severe shortage
Of hearing God's word.
When you hear, it shows in your doing. Be a doer of the word and not a hearer only.
22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; 24 for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. 25 But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does. So many people go to church, but never grow, because they do not hear with their heart. God used Joseph to save his family and the Egyptains from the famine in Egypt. God want to use us to spread his word to save the people from the famine of hearing God's word
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me,
Because He has anointed Me
To preach the gospel to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,[a]
To proclaim liberty to the captives
And recovery of sight to the blind,
To set at liberty those who are oppressed;
I will be talking about how there is a famine in the land for hearing the word of God as talked about in Amos 8. This prophecy has come true because we are seeing that there is very little preaching of the word across america in a nation that once had most of its churches preaching the bible now christians have a hard time even finding a single church that preaches the word.
Fear. Reverential fear. Fear of the Lord.
The word fear is used over 300 times in the Holy Bible in direct reference to God. Yet, many people, including and perhaps especially Christians, do not understand the nature of the fear that is referenced in the bible. In an article archived in Christianity Today, author William Eisenhower succinctly stated:
“When we assume that the world is the ultimate threat, we give it unwarranted power, for in truth, the world's threats are temporary.”
Indeed, many Christians fear the threats of and from the world and earthly things, yet lack the proper fear of the Lord. Fear of God is a good thing, yet we read in Proverbs, Chapter 9, verse 10 that “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding,” and in Matthew, Chapter 10, verse 28 “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear Him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” [KJV]

Today we will continue our teaching on biblical famines and how we can apply what Joseph did durning the 7 year famine he faced to our lives today. Children of God, I have clearly heard the Lord say that a famine is coming here in America. We do not know the timing of such events, however it is always best to take heed to the voice of the Lord and prepare. Please get your house in order saints, spiritually and naturally. Start buying can goods, water, grain and etc now! Obedience is better than sacrifice. 1 Samuel 15:22
Today we will be discussing part 2 of our teaching on biblical famines and the upcoming winter storm known as El nino. It has been predicted that El nino will bring in powerful winds and rain that is brewing from the pacific. This storm is expected to bring unusal warm weather patterns that will potentially cause what will be known as a "climate chaos." The real question is, could El nino cause a famine and if so how do we prepare? God has spoken to me and confirmed that yes, indeed a famine is coming. However, I do not know if it will occur after El nino hits this winter. People of God, the best thing to do is to remain steadfast and prepare. We will discuss what Joseph did during a famine in biblical times.
