Our basic format and structure is from a black male centered discussion, but we welcome female guest and bloggers input. We feel the need to fill the void in the family discussed from a male centered viewpoint.
This show explores and addresses the disparaging rates of decline of the Black Family today and historically.
We will address the Incarceration rates through the Prison Pipeline. We welcome the victims of this system to call-in. ie... Inmates or the offspring of the inmates and the mates of these so-called offenders.
We will address the so called dead beat dads and why has the system stereotyped most black men into this definition and labeled them such.
We address the changing state of affairs with the global economic fluctuations and how it directly negatively impacts the black family.
We will also present the positive aspects of the Black family today from marriages to successful dating and successful parenting from conventional multiple parent homes to successful sinlge parent setup.
We will also discuss how the childsupport works and what it expects from us as males and what the child needs and the female mother of the child needs and how we can bridge the gap as men.
We will have deep spiritual discussions as it relates to our historic role as male role models through our historic and traditional spirituality and how we can lead our families from it.
A discussion about the differences and similarities between Oral Traditions and Written traditions and Initiatory vs self styled traditions.
In both the ATRs and European Pre-Christian religions a great deal of knowledge and wisdom has been passed down from our ancestors but sometimes only fragments remain. Some traditions have been sifted from these fragments and pieced back together yet some traditions have stayed relatively intact.
Many European traditions eventually saw a need to write down what had previously been oral traditions where the ATRs mostly remained oral traditions.
Tonight we discuss those differences, similarities and more.

Join Sharon Rainbow Eagle & Jim Graywolf - Eaglewolf - for another powerful broadcast of Healing Mirror Holders Radio on Sunday, 12/21 at 1 PM MST, 3 PM EST, 8 PM London and 10 PM Israel time for an energetic show about a new way of energy and action – combining traditions and progress.
Some people believe that tradition and progress cancel each other out - we will talk about how those two work together in synergy & symbiosis. It's clear that in order to move on as a race we need to let go of the any negative emotions from past experiences that held us back and may still hold us back. Traditions are all about the experiences and teachings that did not hold us back, but allowed us to work with all of creation on Earth.
Progress need not be a lack of tradition either; we will elaborate about what is progress and its importance to our flourishing. Progress and tradition hand in hand now - we invite YOU to share some of the traditions from all around the worlds' medicine wheel.
As Spirit Twins, Sharon & Jim constantly work on a balance that is being reflected by Mother Earth and Father Sky. Tradition and science being combined. This makes relation-shifts now important more than ever! And so, we ask you, Healing Mirror Holders, spirit families, to help us to learn more about those changes and to be able to bring those teachings for those who are ready for the next generations. After all, we are all one!
We will see you soon.

Many dismiss traditional healing as being unscientific or superstitious, while others overly romanticize these healing modalities dismissing much that modern medicine has to offer. However, according to Phil Borges, Documentary Photographer/Filmmaker of: Enduring Spirit, Tibet: Culture On The Edge and CRAZYWISE, the value of my guest today, Marie-Rose Phan-Lê’s perspective is that her feet are planted in both the modern and traditional worldviews. He continued to state: Talking Story is a wonderful Bridge that spans across many cultures presenting an expanded view of healing and wellbeing.
Marie-Rose Phan-Lê has more than twenty years’ experience in film and television production (Northern Exposure, Prefontaine, Ace’s High). She is the founder and president of Healing Planet Project, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation and presentation of ancient healing and spiritual traditions. Marie-Rose has traveled extensively for various projects, including her award-winning documentary film, Talking Story, a companion to her book Talking Story. She has transitioned her flourishing healing practice working one-to-one with individuals to focusing on the one-to-many, consulting with organizations, businesses, and other groups. She is currently the chief operating officer and creative director at High Impact Inc.
