    in Spirituality

The greatest and most important adventure of our lives is discovering who we really are. "What kinds of dreams did you have for your life before you lost yourself in the busy-ness of life? What have you since deemed impossible or improbable because of where you are today? Grab a journal and reconnect with the dreams you once had and better yet, come up with some new dreams. In a perfect world, what would you love to be, have, or do? What is your soul aching for? Once you reconnect with your dreams, you’ll have the desire and inspiration to begin to take action and suddenly you will have found yourself again."

Nats Nightly: Nationals drop series opener to Cubs, 5-2 in Wrigley Field

    in Baseball

Chicago's Cubs had the Washington Nationals shut out through 8 2/3 before Jayson Werth hit a two-run blast to left off Travis Wood, but it wasn't enough as the Nats dropped the series opener in Wrigley Field by a score of 5-2. Joe Ross was solid again for the Nationals, but a rough inning in the fourth led to the only two runs he allowed while on the mound. Cubs' starter Kyle Hendricks tossed six scoreless to earn the win. Discipline of a Spiritual Heart

    in Spirituality

What is a spiritual heart? Is a spiritual heart equally important as our physical heart? How do we discipline ourselves to have a healthy spiritual heart? Sometimes it's necessary to discern the condition of our heart in our relationships, conversations and in communicating with others. It helps to avoid arguments, misunderstandings and resolve conflict with others  It's important to be aware if your heart is open when you're communicating with others or closed. Why? Having an open heart versus a closed heart while you're communication with your spouse, child or friend has a significant affect on how the conversation goes. Have you ever tried talking to you child when you're mad? Have they ever talked to you while they were upset? How did that go? How do you know when your heart is open or closed? You know because when your heart is open, you connect with people. When your heart is closed you don't. When your heart is open you focus on solutions. When your heart is closed you focus on what people are doing wrong. To cultivate a healthy heart, we have to discipline ourselves.
