#13 - Can Married Couples Work Together Without Getting A Divorce?

    in Family

We marry our other half because we clearly like them. But is it even possible to function professionally when they are right there? Jess & Meredith have both tried and failed at working in the same space as their husbands so they decided to ask a married couple how the hell they do it. Power writing duo & newlyweds, Jon DeWalt and Allison Bosma, from NBC’s "Undateable" tell us where they draw the line about work when it’s quitting time. It’s not always glamorous, and to Jess’ disappointment, rarely, if ever, involved wrestling it out in a kiddie pool of green jell-o. Jon & Allison bring the laughs, the realness, and the level of spousal sweetness that makes you swoon and throw up a little in your mouth when it comes to the idea of when they have babies. Yeah. We went there. Listen now to this week’s episode of Meltdown Moms presented by Meltdown Comics!

The Helios Biblios Hour (book of the SUN) : May Day The Destiny of America pt2

    in Current Events

Over one hundred years have passed since that first May Day. In the earlier part of the 20th century, the US government tried to curb the celebration and further wipe it from the public's memory by establishing "Law and Order Day" on May 1. We can draw many parallels between the events of 1886 and today. We still have locked out steelworkers struggling for justice. We still have voices of freedom behind bars as in the cases of Mumia Abu Jamal and Leonard Peltier. What is the origin of mayday as a distress signal The term Mayday is used internationally as a distress signal in voice procedure radio communications. It derives from the French venez m'aider, meaning “come help me”. It is used to signal a life-threatening emergency by many groups, such as police forces, pilots, firefighters, and transportation organizations.Draco’s story and his infamous Draconian Laws, offers us much food for thought and teaches us numerous political lessons. Draco, though commissioned by the majority of his co-citizens, and not the “gods” like his predecessors, failed to deliver a people-friendly legal system. Instead, he became notorious for delivering one of the most inhumane and harshest legal codes the world has ever known. Nevertheless, from the ashes of that failure a revolutionary system slowly emerged which would soon set the foundation for a significant portion of modern law and politics in the Western world.

    Just Sayin.....

    in Marketing

We chat with Gen Nexter Larrentz and  then ask: What are you saying? Over the past few years Gen next has asked us to embrace their abbreviated, non-specific form of communication. Has it helped to intentionally engage Gen Next? Has it helped spread the word about Credit Unions? To celebrate the end of CU Youth Month I talk honestly about how the CU experts have failed CUs on youth marketing. Join us live or later....if you can handle the truth.
