    Asthma Overview

Asthma is a disease of the lungs in which the airways become blocked or narrowed causing breathing difficulty. This chronic disease affects 25.9 million Americans. Asthma is commonly divided into two types: allergic (extrinsic) asthma and non-allergic (intrinsic) asthma. There is still much research that needs to be done to fully understand how to prevent, treat and cure asthma. But, with proper management, people can live healthy and active lives.

Knowing vs. Doing - When Training is NOT the Answer

    in Business

With special guest, Jonathan Peters, PhD

Training isn’t always the answer – and yet we offer training solutions for problems that we know are not training related.

There are many reasons why people don’t take action. The question to ask, “Is this a Can’t or a Won’t?”

Basically, there are two types of motivators that cause people to take action – extrinsic and intrinsic. In successful gamification, extrinsic and intrinsic motivators are not polar opposites, but instead, they are co-dependent on each other.

Today, gain insight into how to make sure the target audience has what it takes before you start designing any type of training program.

About Jonathan Peters, PhD: An international speaker and writer, Jonathan has spoken before audiences from Melbourne, Australia to Augusta, Maine. His specialty is marketing and customer experience, helping audiences improve identify what motivates their customers and learn how to speak toward those motivators. Jonathan has authored four books, including Cavemen Can’t Market, the first the Caveman Trilogy and has also ghostwritten 37 non-fiction books. An adjunct professor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, he instructs senior-level business majors. Patty Colman - About Face Products

    in Women

Like most women approaching their mid to late forties, Patty Colman wasn’t thrilled to see new lines and wrinkles in the mirror each morning. She was also spending too much money on creams and serums, all with promises that she knew were not going to stop or reverse the developing wrinkles. There was the option of Botox or other cosmetic procedures for those who can afford the luxury, but even those do not offer a permanent solution.

Wasn’t there something out there that could actually prevent these wrinkles?

Patty has always been a product and ingredient junkie. So she started to do some detailed research to see if there was any information that could help her better understand how wrinkles are caused, and if there was anything she could personally do to prevent them. In a very small nutshell here is some of what she learned.

There are two types of aging: Intrinsic (internal) and Extrinsic (external) Intrinsic aging is caused by the genes we inherit, and unfortunately there is nothing we can do about that.

Extrinsic aging however is caused by environmental factors- i.e. things we can change. In all the articles Patty read the same extrinsic causes were listed. So she went down the list to see what she had already changed, or could now change to prevent or stop wrinkles.
In today’s show Patty will talk about what she learned and what she was able to create that might be helpful in the battle of aging.

    Grantham Taylor Hughes Show

    in Legal

Each week Gratham Taylor Hughes explores by way of the Brauch foundation (TBf), the 1930 Geneva Conventionbankruptcy. Best evidence being a commn law legal phrase shows within one's pocket the Federal Reserve Note (FRN) being only a debt insrument. However, it is legal as of the 1793 conage act citation on its bace next to the celebrity bust stating the eleven words, "This Note is Legal Tender for All Debts Public and Private." Those words give the note extrinsic purchasing power, but no intrinsic redeemability not making it illegal but instead just debt attempting to retrieve credit. That pathology is explored and fixed from the words of Grantham Taylor Hughes again each week on The Brauch foundation show.
