This time we head back to October 2009 as we talked to Paige Hemmis, who was one of the star of the hit show "Exteme Makeover: Home Edition".

Hemmis is the prime example of being girly while doing what is considered a manly occupation. She talked to us about helping other women make the crossover, working with the rest of the cast, and giving back to families in need.

John Carver Show - The Ultimate Extreme Makeover (David Jeremiah)

    in Self Help

There is something about the teaching of Dr. David Jeremiah.  In this show Dr. Jeremiah is sharing a Christian's point of view of Heaven.  He talks about how the human body, according to the Bible, changes if you are a Christian.

Notes from “The Ultimate ‘Extreme Makeover’” by Dr. David Jeremiah – Turning Point – www.turningpointonline.org Notes compiled by Jan Smith – www.wordblessings.com Page 1 QUESTION: What will our resurrected bodies be like? Paul puts before us a question: 35 But someone will say, “How are the dead raised up? And with what body do they come?” (1 Corinthians 15:35) In the next several verses, Paul gives us some contrasts between our current bodies and the bodies we’re going to have some day. First requirement for a resurrected body is: you have to be dead. 36 Foolish one, what you sow is not made alive unless it dies. (1 Corinthians 15:36) John 12:24 says this: 24 Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain. (John 12:24) The second thing he’s going to teach us is that the result of resurrection is a different kind of body. 37 And what you sow, you do not sow that body that shall be, but mere grain—perhaps wheat or some other grain. 38 But God gives it a body as He pleases, and to each seed its own body. (1 Corinthians 15:37-38) He’s saying that the body that comes out of the grave is different from the body that went into the grave. Example: if you put a kernel of corn into the ground in order for it to grow, what comes out of the ground is not the kernel, it a green stalk that looks very different. It’s a part of the kernel; it represents the kernel, but it’s not the same.
