Terry starts the podcast asking everyone to step back from extended foster care for a moment and to look back at the reason youth came into care to begin with. She expands on children enter into foster care because they don't have a family or "home," and then relates it to the concept of extended foster care by suggesting that an unlimited number of resources is no good, unless a person isconnected to a family structure or "home."

14 Then he brought me to the door of the gate of the Lord's house which was toward the north; and, behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz.
Fast of Shiva Asar B'Tammuz in Israel
The Fast of Shiva Asar B'Tammuz is held on the 17th day of Tammuz, which is the fourth month of the Hebrew calendar. It observes five calamities that affected the Jewish people. These are: (1) Moses broke the tablets of stone and (2) an idol known as “the Golden Calf” was erected in 1313 BCE; (3) the daily sacrificial offerings were discontinued in 423 BCE; (4) Jerusalem’s walls were breached in 69 BCE; and (5) the Roman military leader Apostomus burned a Torah scroll possibly around 50 CE just before the Bar Kokhba revolt.

What do people do?
Many Jewish people fast from dawn until nightfall by abstaining from food and drinks. However, people who are ill or weak, children and pregnant or nursing mothers may not fast completely but only eat simple food. In addition, special prayers are recited and sections of the Torah and Haftarah (Haftorah, Haptara) are read during the morning and evening services. In contrast to some fast days, Jewish people may be permitted to wear leather and wash themselves on the 17th of Tammuz.
The Fast of Shiva Asar B'Tammuz, also known as the 17th (or Seventeenth) of Tammuz, is not a public holiday in Israel.
The 17th day of Tammuz is a day of mourning for Jewish people. It marks the anniversary of five calamities. On this day in the year 1313 BCE, Moses broke the tablets of stone that were inscribed with the Ten Commandments and the idol of “the Golden Calf” was erected.

BluegrassMMA Live is back once again tonight, as Episode 209 is set to go down.
Tonight’s episode will once again be hosted by BluegrassMMA’s David McKinney as he is joined by co-host Aaron Garrett, the matchmaker for IT Fight Series.
Tonight’s guest list features fighters who will be in action on this weekend’s Pinnacle FC 11 card. We will also discuss this past weekend’s RFO event as well as next weekend’s IT Fight Series 35 event.
First up, we’ll be joined by amateur fighter Dave Gabig (6-3), who is set to take on Sean Felton(4-2) in a welterweight bout at Pinnacle FC 11 just outside of Pittsburgh this weekend. Gabig returns to action for the first time in nearly four years, and he’ll talk about battling a drug and partying addiction as well as the neck injury that kept him out for an extended period.
Then, Pinnacle FC 11 headliner Varon “Mighty Moe” Webb (7-2) will join us to discuss his bantamweight title fight against Dominic Mazzotta (7-1) on that very same card. Webb has won his last two bouts and is one of the top-ranked fighters in the Southeast, so he should have a lot to say about his matchup against Mazzotta.

People assume only "bad" nurses and doctors are dragged in front of the law. often it's minority nurses who run afoul of jealous co-workers and backstabbing coniving managers. Often hospitals hire and keep on staff nasty hateful racist because they do the nasty dirty work no one else will do. But let's also talk about dirty nurses who backstab other nurses, let's talk about messed up administrative hearings and crooked judges and more importantly let's talk about Jonathan Cooper, Esq. the minion who works for the AG's office offing innocent nurses to bolster his rep.

Our topic: New relationship topics to avoid
Ahh, the blissful honeymoon phase of a new relationship. The tingles in your tummy as you think of your next date. Your faint blush as you remember the pretty complement you received on the last one. The singing in the shower. The rose-colored glasses making everything in your life seem just a little bit nicer.
You do not want to screw this up. So don’t do so by starting a conversation that could end in fighting, tears, or, worst of all, extended awkward silences.
Tonight we will discuss New relationship topics to avoid.
#1...Being negative about anything...
You’ll just be showing off how negatively you see the world. Negativity is a turn off, much like bad breath and ugly sweater-vests. No one ever wants to spend an entire evening listening to their dinner partner sound off about how they get no appreciation, live in the worst part of town, or just can’t get through to their mother. Avoid this. A few light-hearted, maybe deprecating comments here and there don’t hurt, but let’s not rant. Okay?

In this segment, former foster youth David Hall notes that we should not be looking at why we need to extend foster care, but what we need to do when we extend foster care. In addition to not often being able go get a driver's license to transport oneself to work, it is very hard to get two forms of ID put together when applying for jobs. Here are some other ideas that David suggests during his segment:
- Whenever the young adults reach 18, they need parents who are willing to keep them until 21 when policy does not prohibit continued support given by foster parents.
- There needs to be specialized workers for young adults between the ages of 18 and 21. Some of his other suggestions include:
- We need to look at a Housing First Model
- We need to look at placing youth in extended foster care in roles where they can mentor younger foster youth and start assisting in the life skills development of younger foster youth.
David Hall is the Co-Founder of a statewide student organization at Oklahoma City University, called R is for Thursday, which supports and promotes foster youth who are in college or currently going into college.
