Managing Information Overload with Executive Coach Rea Wilke

    in Self Help

Do you agree with this statement: “The information overload is an increasing problem both in the workplace and in life in general?”  Information and knowledge are great things, however too much information can short circuit our everyday life. Here is what I mean: In order for us to benefit from the information that we gather, we need to take the time to process some of this information and we need to pick and choose what serves our lives. Too much information leads to Information Overload!!! As I mentioned before, information can be a good thing, if we can pick and choose what is useful to us and discard the rest. On the contrary we are taking more and more information and we are adding to what we already have and that result is "Information Overload."
With one click on your smart phone, PC and tablets, you have access to massive information. Not to mention media like TV, radio, news...etc.

Information is also involuntarily given to us even when we don't ask for it. So what can we do about it? How can we manage all this information that we have and the information that we continue to receive?

Today, I will share some suggestions to help you manage some of the information you have and I will teach you how to be selective of the information you receive..

“Happiness is itself a kind of gratitude.” Happy Thanksgiving to all

    in Self Help

It is easy to be thankful for the good things. A life of rich fulfillment comes to those who are also thankful for the setbacks.

GRATITUDE can turn a negative into a positive. Find a way to be thankful for your troubles and they can become your blessings.~Author Unknown

    Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

What if you could live your life in a state of gratitude for everything you have or don’t have? What if you could wake up each morning, and instead of planning your day, your first thought would be “How blessed and grateful you are for the day, and for your life –Studies show that people who practice grateful thinking “reap emotional, physical and interpersonal benefits?”

Today we are celebrating Thanksgiving day with poams and gratitude messages from around the world!

“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend.”

So what are you grateful for?

Go to www.YourLifeNow.info and leave me a voice mail, stating what you are grateful for and I will share it on the air, or simply leave a message at: 908-864-7919

Happy Thanksgiving beautiful people! ~ Coach Rea

Sylvia Lafair - Expert Executive Coach

    in Business

    Sylvia Lafair, PhD
Sylvia Lafair, Ph.D. is President of Creative Energy Options, Inc. (CEO), a global consulting company that targets and transforms work place patterns for success. Dr. Lafair’s programs and executive coaching impact individuals and teams to decrease conflict and increase productivity. Her award winning book, “Don’t Bring It to Work” 2009 (Jossey-Bass), is listed as one of the top 20 books for emerging leaders. Lafair's research shows that, much as we like to believe that our behavior is entirely rational and governed by our conscious mind, our thoughts and actions are often driven by the roles we learned in our families as children. And under pressure, we tend to revert to old patterns, often creating workplace drama that diverts attention from the business and undermines productivity.
As a keynote speaker, workshop leader and webinar presenter, Sylvia engages audiences with her natural storytelling ability.  She weaves her knowledge about personal relationships and business culture into easily understood messages.
Dr. Lafair has been quoted in Time.com, Fortune, Forbes, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal and has been a guest on various television and radio programs. Her new book, “GUTSY: How Women Leaders Make Change,” was released in June 2012.
She is presently working on a book about diversity in the workplace titled “Different: How Dynamic Leaders Drive Diversity at Work.”
As a noted authority on leadership, an award winning author, and executive coach, her message is unique and timely; her insights universal and relevant.  Dr. Lafair’s unique model becomes vitally important as she teaches managers and teams how to transform ingrained patterns that get in the way of effective collaboration and organizational productivity
