After difficulties with last week's show, Matt and Shawn cram it all into this weeks! They discuss Matt's vacation, the "Sync This!" showcase, Musicians Corner, Lindsay Ell and tell dumb car stories. Plus plenty of news, a couple games and another teaser for an upcoming event!
And this week's #NUartist is Evan Gibb! Evan is a nationally-recognized singer/songwriter, with influences from the likes of John Mayer, Jack Johnson, and Jason Mraz. Born and raised in the sleepy hustle and bustle of New Hartford, Connecticut, his sound, though simple at first, has matured into the soft and soulful music he produces today. With harmonies and song structure that harkens back to a simpler, more folk style America, and full, smooth vocals, Evan has begun a journey to connect the world through his music.
Please join us and our special guest, Arielle Ford, who will be featured during the first half of tonight’s show. Born and raised in the Bronx during the '70s provided the perfect ingredients for a lifetime of visual arts for Evan. With the emergence of Hip-Hop as a cultural movement, Evan gravitated to the visual element of the culture, graffiti.
Understanding the value of formal education, Evan moved to North Carolina where he received his Bachelors of Arts in Art Design from NC A&T SU. Upon graduation, Evan returned to New York City to create a life for him and his son.
