After Thanksgiving, football season heats up. College football is heading into playoff mode, while teams in the NFL position themselves for a playoff run. As college football winds down, it is time to start talking about the Heisman Trophy. The top running back is Derrick Henry, from Alabama. He has rushed for 1,797 yards and 22 touchdowns while leading Alabama to a 11-1 record. The quarterback class is not full of superstar names. Deshaun Watson, of Clemson, could be the front-runner of the quarterbacks. The Sophomore has thrown for 3,223 yards and 27 touchdowns. He has led Clemson to a perfect 12-0 record. Early expert picks, on ESPN, have Henry taking 9 of the 10 first place votes and running away with the award.
They will not be receiving style points, but the Washington Redskins have quietly jumped into first place. The NFC East is a mess, and the Redskins are taking advantage. After beating the New York Giants 20-14, they own the tie-breaker and have a one game lead over the Philadelphia Eagles.
Did Brock Osweiler end Petyon Mannings career? Osweiler did what no other quarterback could do this year. He beat the New England Patriots. The win gives the Broncos a 9-2 record, and puts them in position to receive a first round bye. They have a comfortable three game lead over the Kansas Chiefs, who have won five games in a row. The Patriots lost the game, and thought they lost Rob Gronkowski for the year. However, tests reveal that he only has a knee bruise with no tears. The Seattle Seahawks defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers, 39-30 to vault into the second NFC wildcard spot. The Steelers fall into a four way tie, at 6-5, for the AFC wildcard. The Chiefs own the tiebreaker and would be the number one wildcard, and the Houston Texans would slide into the second wildcard, after winning four games in a row.
Dating in this Digital Age can sometimes feel so cumbersome. It’s just down right inconvenient. We don’t have time to mingle and even when we are mingling we are more obsessed with what is happening on the web than having a real interaction with people in our physical space.
The world we live in today is all about convenience. If I can’t get it when I want/need and customize it how I want it, most of us are just not interested. This ideology is truer for those of us that live in big cities and work 9-7 jobs . You spend most of your time at work and pursing our careers. When do you have time to grab a drink and ask someone how was their day? or better yet, even care? Frankly we have enough going on in our lives already.
This is why there it is no surprise that online dating has become one of the most popular and secretive past times for single young adults. There are thousands of sites all over the place both free and paid for all lifestyles and preferences. It seems like now online dating/hookups has become the new way of life.
Don’t get it misconstrued. Online dating is not a new phenom. I remember the days of dial up on AOL when that random person would hit you up with “A/S/L?”. Today it is not uncommon to hear someone say that they met or even married someone that they met online whether it be from a dating site or social media platform like Facebook or Instagram; hence the term “sliding in the someone’s DM’s”.

The earliest known version of The King James Bible, perhaps one of the most influential and widely read books in history, has been discovered mislabeled inside an archive at the University of Cambridge. The find is being called one of the most significant revelations in decades. It shows that writing is a process of revising, cutting, and then more rewriting. The Bible is no different in this regard, even though some conservative Christians claim it is the divine word of God himself. Perhaps God, then, is a revisionist. This find certainly seems to suggest that.

The host Derek Flex Felix is back with more Thanksgiving leftovers. Plenty of turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce and sports wil be discussed with cohost JPG. Will Sanborn return for a cameo? What of Rob 'Retirement" Davis? Is he upset by the Devils win over the Habs? And of his Roll Tide BCS hopes. Plus Stanford stuns Notre Dame. And more chaos.
Show Highlights: Derek is joined by JPG and a surprise cameo from Mr. Rob Kraze Davis. Everything is on the table including a preview of Week 12 NFL Sunday picks. Plus Derek is in a great mood with the Rangers on a losing streak. And is particularly enthused about Heisman candidate Derrick Henry and Rawb's Tide. Overtime included featuring some fun baseball discussion on the best starters in each league.
His days of psuedo are numbered.
