With Guest Dean Raymond Pierce whose Article "The First Amendment 'Under God': Reviewing the Coercion Test in Establishment of Religion Claims" has been accepted for publication in this Winter's publication of The Hamline Law Review Board of Editors. Hamline law review is in the top 25% of the Most Cited Law Reviews and journals.
The topic: the Establishment clause in juxtaposition with the part religion played in the founding of our nation and the seemingly inherent presence of religion within our government today.
Today's show is inspired by a piece on Charisma News concerning the misunderstanding of our First Amendment and especially that pesky establishment clause and notion of "separation of church and state". But it also comes down to something that I enjoy getting into because so much of our history is covered up, forgotten, or not brought up. More than likely unless something big happens in the news that I feel like I absolutely need to talk about, this will be a series of shows going forward, as some of the information, which is by no means all the information available, that I would like to present is very valuable and will indeed stretch over several shows. It may even hopefully stretch out into "good government God's way", as I believe if we practiced good government God's way, we wouldn't have anywhere near the messes that we have today that have built up over these many years. So buckle up and settle in for some references and examples going back hundreds of years and some going back even only 30-40 years as we take a ride down History Lane together, starting today at 4:30 PM and archived later.

The thesis of this paper is that these events, in combination, confront the nation with a new kind of problem. Measures that have worked in the past, or would work for most groups in the present, will not work here. A national effort is required that will give a unity of purpose to the many activities of the Federal government in this area, directed to a new kind of national goal: the establishment of a stable Negro family structure.Moynihan Report (1965)

Mr. Bratton should not be a once-innovative general fighting the last war. Mr. de Blasio was elected on a promise of being a transformative mayor who would recognize the times we live in and respect the communities whose residents fear the police. Now is the time to show it.
The mayor and the commissioner should also begin a serious discussion of the future of “broken windows” policing, the strategy of relentlessly attacking petty offenses NYT
Join hosts Kevin Hunter and Jeffrey O'Brien as they discuss a piece of contract law known as the survival clause.
The survival clause is used to describe a contract clause that remains in effect, or is still valid, after the end of the agreement. These clauses include limitations of liability, non-disclosure/confidentiality, non-solicitation, non-competition, indemnities and insurance provisions.
A survival clause is necessary if there are any clauses that one of the parties wishes to have remain in effect after the termination of the agreement.

In which he was directed by Bill Condon, and starred alongside Beyoncé Knowles, Jennifer Hudson, Jamie Foxx, Eddie Murphy and Anika Noni Rose. In the musical, Robinson’s big solo, “Patience,” which he also performed live at the Academy Awards, earned him an Oscar nomination.
On the acting side, Robinson followed Dreamgirls with This Christmas, co-starring Chris Brown, Idris Elba, Loretta Devine and Delroy Lindo. He then went on to star in Dear John opposite Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried. Roles in 35 and Ticking, starring alongside Kevin Hart, and Hopelessly in June soon followed. Since its establishment, Theme Song has scored music for movies like Blade 3, Fat Albert, and 35 and Ticking, in which he also starred. Most recently, the budding company scored Divorce Invitation (2012) also starring Robinson alongside Jonathan Bennett, Jamie-Lynn Sigler and Nadia Bjorlin.

Four Seasons, a romantic comedy starring with Robin Givens and Christian Keyes, and most recently, Universal’s James Brown biopic Get On Up, with Viola Davis, Octavia Spencer and Dan Aykroyd.
