Ernest Experience Radio Show - Old School

    in Pop Culture

What Did The Ernest Experience Radio Show Sound Like Back In The Early Days?

Tonight, your gracious host is opening the vaults for The Ernest Experience Radio Show!  Never before heard here in BlogTalkRadio, Ernest is going to reair one of his shows from 2002, in the early days, before there was even a thought of a Ernest Radio Network.  Ernest hosted a one year anniversary show in April of 2002 with his friend, and102.3 KISS-FM personality and Albany voice over diva, Djuana "Dj" Thomas.  Ernest and Dj had been friends for a few years before this, and have remained friends ever since.  (Dj is now spinning hits and rock the hell out of Atlanta.)
The anniversary show was a full four hours, but we're pulling out the last segment of the anniversary show to play for you here.  As a note, the music track list for the show, was the same as the very first show we ever did, & we did that as an homage to how it all started.  Obvious, our equipment upgrades are better than the early days, so you'll hear the raw & unadulterated sound of EERS back in the day. This is a great trip back in EERS history.
Show note: The show will run about 69 minutes tonight, not 90.

Ernest Experience Radio Show - KISS

    in Music

Is KISS Really The Hottest Band In The World?

Was KISS's Influence More About Music, Or Make-Up?

Taking a lighter-hearted, and downright fun, approach to tonight's episode of The Ernest Experience Radio Show, we will tackle the ever-important (!) topic of KISS.  Did they really influence other bands after them, or did people just copy a genius marketing ploy?  Some say the band is more about flash and pizzazz than any real musical substance.  Is anyone really humming "Love Gun" or "Deuce" at work, or perhaps "Strutter" while at home cleaning out the garage?
KISS superfan Derek Levine joins us tonight to discuss just how awesome he thinks KISS turned out, all while Ernest butts against that idea, defending true musicianship and writing while dismissing the idea of a need for fireworks and 2000 lights per show.
All this plus music, NPR news, Ern's 3-minute commentary "Say What You Mean & Mean What You Say", and your phone calls.  Are you a KISS fan?  Wanna chime in? Call us at 1.347.746.EERS or 1.347.989.1942.  We're gonna rock n' roll all night, and party every day...at least for the hour.

Ernest Experience Radio Show - Surge

    in Entertainment

Barack Obama Plans To Pull Surge Troops Out Of Afghanistan - But Who is Left?

There Is A Toilet Crisis In The World - What Exactly Does That Mean?  Find Out.

Tonight on The Ernest Experience Radio Show, we break down what the President said about pulling troops out of Afghanistan.  Hopefully most Americans know it's not an end to the war, but rather a big ploy as the 2012 election campaign ramps up.  Also - there is, what some are calling, a toilet crisis in the world.  Such a simple thing, but so many are living without the basic needs in life.  Your gracious host Ernest explores just how rampant and dangerous this problem has become in the world.
All this plus music, news, and Ern's 3-minute commentary "Flying High" talking about the Southwest Airlines pilot who ranted against homosexuals in his crew - and was caught on tape doing it.  Join us LIVE.  Chat & Phones will be open.  1.347.746.EERS and 1.347.989.1942.

E.E.R.S: REWIND Bill Cosby - Rapist? | Cat Calls and Double Standards

    in Current Events

Thursday at 8pm ET on Ernest Radio Network, it's The Ernest Experience Radio Show.

It's a very special rewind edition of the show, when Ernest is joined by Ms. Teri, and Momo B. to talk about the then-new allegations against comedian Bill Cosby.  We felt this was timely and should be heard again since today Vanity Fair published an article by model Beverly Johnson, leveling the same charges against Cosby.  Tune in Saturday when we're live again with Jay Ril, Mr. LES and the gang for Saturday Edition.

    E.E.R.S: Beverly Johnson's Story | R.I.P. Tamir Rice | Sony Hack Humor

    in Current Events

Thursday at 8pm ET on Ernest Radio Network, it's The Ernest Experience Radio Show.

Tonight, Ernest and Ms. Teri talk about a few things.  In Shootin' the Sh*t, the Sony Hack is talked about, and we get Ernest's perspective on it, having worked in the industry years ago.

Beverly Johnson is the latest person to come out and talk about Bill Cosby trying to drug and seduce her.  Cosby's wife Camille, and one of their daughters, have both spoken out about the charges, but Cosby remains relatively silent.  What's next?

The cop who murdered 12 year old Tamir Rice in a park, Timothy Loehmann, is up for a grand jury investigation, but will he be charged?  Rice's death has been ruled a homicide, but so was Eric Garner's.  When will the open season on non-white people end?

E.E.R.S: All Cops Are Bastards | Domestic Abuse Defenders | Listening Lounge

    in Pop Culture

Thursday at 8pm ET on Ernest Radio Network, it's The Ernest Experience Radio Show.

Tonight Ernest and company will be talking about the fact that cops are systematically murdering minorities, and getting away with it; the highlight being the most recent case of Eric Garner in New York.

Also, Ray Rice's fiance Janay Palmer defends Rice knocking her out in an elevator in Atlantic City earlier this year.  Why do women stay with their abusers, even more so in such a public case?  Is she clueless, or are we missing something?

All this plus NPR news, Accuweather national forecast, the ERN Listening Lounge, and your phone calls at 1.347.989.1942.  Join us LIVE!
