This show features interview with Matthew Dewald the Director of the Erma Bombeck Writers Workshop. The website for the workshop is www.humorwriters.org .
Every single day there is a temptation to FALL…to get off course…to get distracted. Some days you’re challenged to stand up for what’s right!
Living Bible - He has told you what he wants, and this is all it is: to be fair, just, merciful, and to walk humbly with your God.
Erma Bombeck: “When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, 'I used everything you gave me'.”
Winston Churchill: “Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen.”
Sometimes you don’t know what your education, training, difficulties will do for other people until you’re called to “Make a difference.”
Dr. David Jeremiah: "So if you believe in something that's good, honest, and right, stand up for it."
Deuteronomy 6:18 – “And you shall do what is right and good in the sight of the Lord.”
From Ann Landers’ column:
The difference between Winners and Whiners is – The Whiner says, "I don’t know, and I’m sure nobody else does either." The Winner says, "Let’s find out."
When a Whiner makes a mistake, he says, "It wasn’t my fault." When a Winner makes a mistake, he says, "I’m responsible and I’m going to see what can be done to set things right."
When a Winner makes a commitment, he honors it. When a Whiner makes a promise, he keeps it if he doesn’t change his mind.

Clyde Edgar Smith, one all around guy that what a true soldier to the very end. You could count on Clyde for everything and he never let you down. He was a lover of jazz music, a person that could weld and work with steele and iron, as well as a professional chef in the restaraunt. He loved construction work and building some of the hardest homes and office buildings in the United States. He has built monuments that will be here for hundreds of years and his name is written all over them. The show starts off with Vessie Simmons, "You're Everything I Need" from the KDTN Radio One Music station. As our baby brother, he will be greatly missed and greatly adored.
Joining us again is MARY FRAN BONTEMPO author, speaker, humorist and teacher who believes in the power of women. For over 30 years, Mary Fran has written for and about women and girls, forging connections through humor and common experience.
Her message that it’s never too late to reinvent and transform a life through small changes that yield big results inspires with a dose of humor.
A former newspaper columnist, Mary Fran offered her humorous take on life to thousands of readers throughout the Philadelphia area and beyond with her Everyday Adventures column, winning awards from the Erma Bombeck Writers Workshop and Humor Press. Since founding the blog, Not Ready For Granny Panties, in 2010, and publishing the book, Not Ready For Granny Panties–The 11 Commandments for Avoiding Granny Panties, in 2012, Mary Fran continues to inspire other women plopped unceremoniously in life’s middle ground, encouraging them to make themselves a priority in their own lives and reclaim their right to FUN.
Delivering a positive message to younger women is also a passion. Mary Fran effectively shares her message with students and young women, encouraging them to own their “uniqueness” and hear their own voice, creating a happy, productive life in a noisy world.
Mary Fran’s work has been featured in the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Philadelphia Bulletin and numerous publications throughout Philadelphia and New Jersey. Mary Fran also currently writes for Women’s Voices Magazine.
