We are very proud and honored to present to you a valorous and meritorious man, James "Pointman" Abram, Founder and Board President of the Pointman Soldiers Heart Ministry.

Wewill be discussing Sacrifice with James Abram. We'll also touch on the undercover scandals perpetrated by our government concerning voting and the mission of his Ministry. From Basic Training to combat in the trenches, James Abram has learned many tough, valuable lessons that he plans to share tomorrow.

He received two Presidential Citations during Operation Irving and LZ Bird Combat Engagement, December 1967.  During his service with the United States Army, he did a tour of duty in Vietnam.  He served literally as a "pointman” for his unit.  He is a disabled veteran because of PTSD.  He's also a Deacon of Triumph Baptist Church, an Outpost Leader and State Coordinator of Pointman International Ministries, and Lifetime Member of DAV, and Angel Tree Ministries.

Closet is very deep for gay college basketball coaches

    in LGBT

Fear. Depression. Anxiety. Thoughts of suicide. These are some of the emotions gleaned from closeted gay and lesbian coaches Outsports talked to during the men's Final Four in Indianapolis. Despite the progress society has made on gay issues, these coaches feel that their careers would be over if they ever came out publicly. So they hide or contemplate quitting the sport they love. One female coach said she knows of 50 closeted lesbian coaches. There are no openly gay male or female Division I coaches in the U.S.

The podcast also interviews writer Erik Hall, who has profiled several openly gay athletes, his latest being a college cross country runner.

    Lugnuts and Horsepower

    in Sports

It was a Texas Stampede as Jimmie Johnson once again took victory in the Lone Star State, locking down his spot in the Chase very early in the season.  Dustin Parks and Patti Rodisch are ready to look back at the weekend in Texas, both at Johnson's second win of the season, his fifth at Texas, and also Erik Jones taking the checkered flag the previous night in the Xfinity Series.

These two will also look ahead to Bristol, a race that has been renamed for a media member that is loved by many, and fighting a disease that took him away from the sport he loves. The Food City 500 has been renamed "Food City 500 In Support of Steve Byrnes and Stand Up to Cancer" for a man who simply loves this sport, and hates being away from it.  Come Sunday, NASCAR gives back to one of their own.

Tune in beginning at 6:30 p.m. ET/5:30 p.m. CT for what should be a very entertaining, and possibly emotional, episode.

Clearing The Clutter with Seeking Empowerment

    in Spirituality

For every season there is a reason, and the Spring Equinox marks the seasonal transition into spring.  It’s a time when nature prepares the land for procreation.  In following the divine order of nature this is the time to prepare ourselves for the things we want to accomplish. It is easy to clear the clutter that is around us. But what about the clutter that is within us? How do we do that?

Tune in Sunday April 12, 2015  with your host Erik of Common Sense Conversations and cohost  Diyah (aka Ori of Ori’s Oasis) to find  out.
