S2:E4 Dr. Richard Bedlack, MD will describe the ALS Reversals program in detail. Once it starts, ALS almost always continues to progress, disable and shorten lives. Very rarely, a patient with a confirmed diagnosis of ALS gets better on validated ALS outcome measures. It is worth studying these rare ALS reversals to try and replicate them in other patients. Similar approaches are being employed in cancer.
Dr. Richard Bedlack, grew up in a small town in central Connecticut. He went to college at William and Mary in Virginia, then back to Connecticut for an MD and PhD in Neuroscience at UConn. Finally, he came to Duke where he completed his Medicine Internship, Neurology Residency, Neuromuscular Fellowship, and Masters in Clinical Research Science. He is currently a tenured Associate Professor of Medicine/Neurology at Duke, Director of the Duke ALS Clinic, and Chief of Neurology at the Durham Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He has won awards for teaching and patient care, including best Neurology teacher at Duke, Health Care Hero, Strength Hope and Caring Award, America’s Best Doctor, the American Academy of Neurology Patient Advocate of the Year and the Rasmussen ALS Patient Advocate of the Year. He has received ALS research grants, participated in ALS clinical trials, published more than 60 ALS articles and recently edited a new book called ALS: A Patient Care Guide for Clinicians. He is the outgoing Chairman of the North American ALS Research Group (ALSRG) and leader of the international ALSUntangled program which utilizes social networking to investigate alternative and off label treatment options for patients with ALS. He lives in Durham, North Carolina with his wife Shelly and two mischievous kittens.

Fibromyalgia: The mystery may be solved.
It is all in your head, the medical profession claimed. It only happens to hysterical, out-of-control, hypochondriacs. The people feeling the pain knew better; and as their numbers grew, the physicians and drug companies finally were forced to take notice.
The Institute of BioAcoustic Biology recently conducted a study of fibromyalgia pain sufferers and may have discovered the root cause of muscle and joint pain. We are going to be doing an open house – EVERYONE WELCOME – to demonstrate one of our newest softwares. Join us on line to watch or participate. We will be providing the Fibromyalgia software to organizations who wish to evaluate their members.
Don’t put-up with the pain, fatigue, stiffness, emotional turmoil and the brain fog of Fibromyalgia. Help bring BioAcoustic information and software to your community.

On this episode, Brady discusses the results of WWE Payback 2016, and the episode of Monday Night Raw that proceeded it. Roman Reigns Vs. Aj Styles, Enzo Amore's injury, Kevin Owens' greatness, and the complete and utter shit that was the conclusion of the Charlotte/Natalia match... like seriously... did they think that was a good idea? Why? It was totally cheap, and made no sense... like wtf? Whatever... So the first portion of this episode was recorded prior to viewing Raw, but during the recap segment of the show, I travel into a future in which I did see it. Meet Becky Feola author of The Eldercare Consultant, Your Guide to Making the Best Choices Possible
Your elderly father's memory is failing fast. Your increasingly frail mother just took another fall. Whatever the situation, The Eldercare Consultant can provide the knowledge, support, and encouragement you seek.
Weaving together real-life stories with the essential information needed to make the best decisions, this compassionate and practical guide helps you: spot warning signs of physical and mental decline; recognize when a loved one needs assistance; determine the level of care needed; evaluate the options - family care giver, home health care, palliative care, senior housing, assisted living facilities - and select the right one.
It supports you to discuss the issue with your loved one; understand and manage the costs of care; make the adjustment as smooth as possible; and avoid care giver burnout. Author and eldercare expert Becky Feola knows first-hand that caring for someone who is no longer in complete control is hard...and the decision to seek outside help is one fraught with emotion. Her book helps cut the confusion, and turn an undeniably difficult transition into a journey of hope and love.
