Pulling Reggae apart and putting it back together again with a dose of Hip-hop, a dash of Rock, Ska and a whole lot of Soul, Dread Daze tunes up the positive vibrations and turns traditional reggae on it’s ear. The powerful sound they bring forth is uniquely their own, and their music speaks their truth in no uncertain terms.
Dread Daze was conceived in Los Angeles, but is a child of the world stage. Their authentic desire to use their music to open minds, change vibes and spread a message of peace and unity shines through in every song and has captured the ears of listeners across all genres as well as promoters throughout the U.S. and around the world. Dread Daze’ exudes raw energy on-stage and forges a strong bond with audiences worldwide, while their huge grass-roots following and spirit of collaboration make them widely sought after – as evidenced by countless shows in clubs, festivals and other venues throughout the U.S., Canada, and Europe.
Together, Najashi (lead vocalist), Brian Ward/Belfast Posse (guitar/vocals), Donu D love Durden (drums), DJ Thergood (DJ/percussion), Steve(bass) Billy (lead guitar) Zolim (Keys) with guest musicians Al Keith on Percussions forms Dread Daze. Individually, they have made their mark in the music scene.
There are some artists who are just rooted in your soul..who make no bullshyt excuses.....who just get right down to it...Wil Gibson is THAT artist... I promise..
Wil Gibson was born from a good idea and a bottle of bourbon. He was raised in some of the poorest communities northern Illinois and eastern Arkansas have to offer. He now lives in Portland (the one in Maine) and likes it a lot there (you probably would too). He writes too many love poems and not nearly enough of his novel. A proud (mistake prone) father of four who tries real hard and is still growing up.
He has performed with or opened for; Regie Gibson (no relation), Charlie Neville, Brother Ali, mybrightestdiamond, Toki Wright, Patricia Smith, and Kurtis Blow (among others) in dive bars, high schools, colleges, poetry slams, libraries, living rooms, restaurants, prisons, coffee houses, and churches from Bellingham, Washington to Boston, Massachusetts and beyond.
He was runner up at the 2010 and 2011 Arkansas Grand Slam, audience favorite 2010 Arkansas Grand Slam, three time (2008-2010) Portland, Maine/Port Veritas Grand Slam Champion, 2010 New Hampshire/Slam Free or Die Grand Slam Champion, has represented Portland, Maine six times (2008-2012, 2014) at the National Poetry Slam, including the 2011 team that made semifinals.
He has toured nationally solo and as part of:
Uncomfortable Laughter (w/ Beau Williams, Kait Rokowski, and Ryan McLellan)
guyslikeyou (w/ Beau Williams and Ryan McLellan)
is an honorary member of Chicago 4 Star Poetry(w/ Billy Tuggle, Andi Kauth, Rik Vazquez, Melanie “George” Decelles, Ashley Hart, and Patricia Smith)
and is a founding member of the Port Veritas artist collective.
He likes people and dogs a lot. He would like to pet your dog, talk to you a few minutes, and possibly give you a hug if that’s ok.

Qua (Kway) L'amar known to some as former lead singer of NJ5ive (MTV's Top Pop Group & BET's 106&Park W.O.W All Star Champions)
is bursting back on the scene with his newly released single entitled "Good Girls". Since the disbanding of the group back in 2009 Qua has
been working alongside John Arnold and Terrance Colter of SoulFull Music Group in a 3-year artist development process. After releasing an EP earlier this year entitled "The Qua L'amar Revue", Qua decided he'd pull from his "Soulfull" roots.
"I remember being a kid over my grandparents on Saturday mornings, eating cereal and watching cartoons and being hit by that feeling
that The Temptations, Teddy Pendergrass, Marvin Gaye, James Brown and Bobby Blue Bland all gave you. This process gave me that
feeling again and this project is an inside out reflection of those Saturday mornings." Good Girls is the lead single from the EP.
I love love love finding wonderful artists to share with you all!!! Teri Tobin is a treasure..I promise you..please join us as we sit a spell and chew a bit...see ya at the show..Love,Epiphany
There are layers to award-winning, soul singer/songwriter Teri Tobin. Each layer reveals a lusher depth, a more meaningful experience, an expressive passion and an abiding generosity, in Tobin’s music and womanhood. All of who Tobin is and what she’s lived through comes through her testimonial verses and agile instrument. Four projects deep, Tobin’s artistry has blossomed on her latest offering, Truth Is… (Top Notch/Ingrooves/Universal).
With the winter 2014 release of Truth Is…, Tobin is preparing for her inaugural international tour to share further gratitude to the worldwide fans who have kept her music dreams alive against an unforgiving business and embraced her just as she is. With a sack full of honest and empowering songs in tow, now it’s Teri Tobin’s turn to encourage listeners to allow love and support to happen in their lives, and to stand just as boldly and proudly in their truth as they have allowed Teri Tobin, with dignity and grace. And that’s the truth.
So we are kicking off National Poetry Month with TWO stellar artists!!!!!!!! Andrew Tyree and John Lacarbiere III join me for a little sit down...Come by and celebrate the wonderful artisty the both of them lend to our beloved craft...See ya at the show..Love,E
She is back....I adore her so I just had to invite her back to my show...Dig..
"..listening to Julie Dexter is like falling in love.."
"Sensational yet subtle. A singer to die for who creates an urgent need for superlatives yet to be invented."
Meet Julie Dexter, a world renowned, award winning, British vocalist considered by many to be one of the most influential female vocalists of our generation. Having shared the spotlight with a host of cutting-edge artists, including Mint Condition, Jill Scott, Bilal, Omar, Loose Ends, Rachelle Ferrell, Ledisi, Eric Roberson and Raheem DeVaughn to name a few, Julie not only holds up her own with them but has been praised and respected by them too.
Born and raised in Birmingham, England, this classically trained artist composes and arranges her own music. Influenced by legends such as Nancy Wilson, Abbey Lincoln, and Bob Marley, as well as popular icons Omar and Sade, Julie takes classic soul to the heart of Artistry.
From Jazz to World Music, Soul and beyond, Julie Dexter is one of an elite few whose talent can transcend genres. She makes it all work on her own terms, as an audaciously independent artist with an undeniable connection to her audience.
Her latest anticipated project with Chicago's own Producer/DJ Steve "Miggedy" Maestro entitled 'New Again" is due for release April 26th 2011. Don’t miss the experience of Julie Dexter. Be a part of a tradition of great music. In the words of her smash single 'Ketch A Vibe', ‘Don’t let it pass you by...Ketch [Julie Dexter’s] Vibe’...
