BOB DARBY AND LYNN EAGLE FEATHER, ADVOCATES FOR THE HOMELESS MENTALLY ILL - Thursdays, 3pmEST ~ Please call to speak on air at (347) 857-3293 for all broadcasts at "Human Rights Demand."
Darby studied in psychology and theology in graduate school. Darby has been an advocate for the homeless mentally ill for more than twenty years. He has a B.A. in psychology from Emory University. He is a former employee of Georgia Regional Hospital, Boston State Hospital, and New Hampshire's Hanover-Darthmouth Hospital. In 1994, he co-founded Atlanta Food Not Bombs. Lynn Eagle Feather is an elder in the Lakota Nation. She discusses homelessness, drug and alcohol addiction and its causes and effects among Native Americans and others. Eagle Feather has been a human rights advocate for over 10 years and was herself a homeless person at one point in her life.
Use this link to contact your officials http://www.usa.gov/Contact/Elected.shtml . Darby and Eagle Feather explain that many poor people and those with serious mental illnesses and addictions are deliberately rendered homeless in the United States of America. Sick people are deprived of psychiatric and medical health care services that would help them avoid imprisonment and harm while our communities are less safe than they could be. This is unacceptable. Voters should petition elected officials to improve treatment and subsistence opportunities. Contact Mary Neal, station director, at MaryLovesJustice@gmail.com or call 678.531.0262.
Feeling brave enough to speak up for yourself can be scary. It can make stomachs flutter, hearts beat faster than normal, and leave one of us in the cleft and craniofacial community wondering if it is OK to speak up and speak out for ourselves. In this week's "CleftCast," host Joe Rutland talks about speaking up for yourself, speaking out on subjects that affect those with cleft and craniofacial anomalies, and knowing that it is OK to do so. The trick, Rutland says, is to understand where it is safe to do so. Not everyone will understand, yet some people will and they will listen with open hearts

Public schools are closing in cities across America and the ones that remain open are questionable when it comes to offering relevant information and preparation for life in a safe learning environment. But whereas public schools have often been dismal failures in America's urban areas, private, culturally based schools have had tremendous success. What is the missing ingredient. Haki and Safisha Madhubuti, founders of The Institute of Positive Education, discuss their journey as educators, publishers, and founders of several learning institutions that focus on African history and cultural values. As IPE prepares for an anniversary celebration this weekend, the Madhubutis reflect on the social andfinancial challenges involved in running independent schools.

1143 H20 Nail Polish is a breathable healthy innovative water based nail polish that has bold colors that not only look good but also nourishes the nail.
The typical solvent based nail polish and lacquer contains a large amount of chemical solvents such as toluene, acetates, alcohol, ethylo biotin, dibutyl phthalate etc (to many to describe)! When solvent based nail polish is painted onto the nail it generates toxic chemical fumes and a horrible "chemical smell." The vapors from the nail polish can get into the lungs and blood stream and cause major problems in the body. Even most "five free" nail polishes have a horrible chemical smell.
1143 H20 Nail Polish replaces chemical solvents with water and when applied, it is only water that evaporates in the air not chemical fumes. Water is also able to permeate through to the nail bed after applied.
1143 H20 Nail Polish is safe for children, pregnant women, basically everyone!
1143 H20 Nail Polish is the breathable, no smell, nontoxic, water based, vegan nail polish

Today, Nick & Dr. Joanna will be discussing hypnotherapy and its use in children.
Big Pharma has covered even the chlldren's market on psychotropics! Can you imagine putting your 3 year old on a drug becasue a psychiatrist came up with a diagnosis from the DSM 5? (which, by the way, conveniently corresponds to an ICD-9 code for the insurance companies). Well, it happens. Mostly because of lack of knowledge about the toxic effetcs of these medications, especially in small and vulnerable bodies, but also out of a sincere desire and sometimes desperation to solve the problems they may be experiencing with their child.
Has normal childhood behavior been reduced to diagnoses designed to enslave children and parents to the pharmaceutical companies for life?
Are there alternatives? Definitely!
Hypnotherapy can be an amazing and safe solution to identify the true cause of behavioral problems in children as well as treating that cause instead of simply putting a band aide on a symptom that is annoying.
Also, learn what part nutrition plays in creating the problem and finding the solution.
Receive a 20% discount on a hypnotherapy session with Nick or a past life regression session with Dr. Joanna when you mention this show, and see for yourself, how hypnotherapy can work for you.
Thank you so much for listening and for your continuing support!
