Peach State Politics by Ponytail Patriot

    in Politics

We are down to just three legislative days in the Georgia General Assembly. Medical Marijuana has passed both chambers and is on its way to the Governor's desk to be signed into law. Criminal Justice Reform also has cleared both chambers. But HB 310 and SB 94 are bad for Liberty and create another level of bureaucracy in the criminal justice system. Meanwhile, RFRA is still being debated in committee and Governor Deal is threatening a "special session" if the Senate and House don't come to an agreement that the Governor can live with regarding the transportation bill. Of course, through all of that, there is still plenty of shenanigans to be found in Douglas County regarding Foxhall and in Paulding County regarding the background checks kerfuffle. Join us as we discuss all of this and more. As usual, we'll have music by Liberty minded artists to keep us upbeat and motivated. See y'all there

Will They Go Extinct Next? The Project to End Great Ape Slavery

    in Environment

We are at a critical point where so many species are on the brink of extinction. Primates are one of the endangered species that are hunted for food and captured for exploitation. Great apes – chimpanzees, bonobos, gorillas and orangutans – are in great demand in Middle Eastern and East Asian safari parks, zoos and private menageries. Most shocking is the fact that corrupt national CITES officials in several countries are deeply involved in the trafficking. Many die en route to the transit cities, packed in between other illicit products, they suffocate, starve to death, or their little throats dry up whilst calling for help which never arrives.  It's a journey through Hell, to slavery, to a life behind bars. It is a life sentence for a crime which they have never committed. In this segment of The Organic View Radio Show, host June Stoyer talks to wildlife photographer and environmental advocate, Karl Ammann, about this crisis and what we can do to protect all primates.  Today's show is brought to you by Eden Foods the most trusted name in certified organic clean food! World Wide Africa The Voice of The Pan African Movement

    in Politics

The voice of our fallen brothers and sisters cry out to me, this week I have to share with you, The experience of Soweto Uprising, its effects on us today. I would like you to call in and share your memories of this man and his words, Steve Bantu Beko "Briefly defined therefore, Black Consciousness is in essence the realization by the black man of the need to rally together with his brothers around the cause of their oppression - the blackness of their skin - and to operate as a group in order to rid themselves of the shackles that bind them to perpetual servitude. It seeks to demonstrate the lie that black is an aberration from the "normal" which is white. It is a manifestation of a new realization that by seeking to run away from themselves and to emulate the white man, black(s) are insulting the intelligence of whoever created them black. Black Consciousness, therefore takes cognizance of the deliberateness of the God's plan in creating black people black.  It seeks to infuse the black community with a new-found pride in themselves, their efforts, their value systems, their culture, their religion and their outlook to (of) life. The interrelationship between the consciousness of the self and the emancipatory program is of a paramount importance.Blacks no longer seek to reform the system because so doing implies acceptance of the major points around which the system revolves. Blacks are out to completely transform the system and to make of it what they wish."
