In this episode of Independence Nation, Keith A. Pitts, MSE will take a close look at the immigration situation, as pertains to President Oabama's annoucement to take immigration action via executive order. The President is set to make an annoucement on the issue tonight at approximately 8pm. The republican opposition has vow in previous releases to move forward on impeachment if Obama take action without the approval of Congress. The situation will be examine holistically. Will this immigration reform bill benefit or further deteriorate our nation?
Immigration reform is not about Blacks and Latinos. Immigration reform includes people from countries all over the world. Immigration reform is necessary not just because people have crossed into United States illegally or are here undocumented. Immigration reform is necessary because we are a country of immigrants. Immigration reform is necessary because without it employers will continue to exploit workingclass citizens and non-citizens. A pathway to citizenship is for the good of all America. Right now, our broken immigration system benefits only the 1% and those who are the puppets of the 1%. Black unemployment and citizenship for the illegal and the undocumented are not a rivalry issue about immigration. We all immigrated here except for Native Indians and stolen Africans. And every since Africans were freed from slavery, unemployment has been high for African Americans. Self-employment kept African Americans living. Self-employment became part of the black code law that put African Americans at the mercy of slave wages. So there is nothing new in 2014 about Black unemployment. Unemployment for Blacks has always been higher than unemployment for any other groups of Americans. Pre-President Obama, Blacks experienced first fired last hired. Had it not been for family/communitiy way of life over the decades, and creativity that has been handed from one generation to the the next, where would Black families be today?
Highest unemployment is the norm in Black communities and for Black Americans
Poor living conditions reflected in shelter and transportation means
Consumption of foods not for nutrition value but based on value of available funds
High imprisonment for lessor offenses
No protection under the law for hangings and rape at will
What is Immigration Reform in the eyes of the people who have come here legally and to the American People? Is it an act of the President of the United States? Or is it an act and will of the people? Really? Is this Right or Wrong? Who will benifit? Who gets left out? What of those going through the process to legally immigrate to the US? This and much more today at 12pm pst...
Mike Bond writes socially-conscious thrillers inspired by his real-life experiences. His Aloha State thriller, SAVING PARADISE (Mandevilla Press) played a role in stopping the Big Wind and the Inter-island Cable Project in Hawaii. This project would have destroyed major parts of Molokai, Lanai and Maui. In addition to drastic environmental and social effects on all three islands, it would have had a catastrophic impact on whales, dolphins and other ocean species including endangered monk seals and turtles.
Bond, a Maine native, has also been active in Maine environmental issues, creating http://savingmaine.org/ to raise awareness about the potential dangers industrial wind development might pose to Maine’s environment.
Mike Bond is a bestselling novelist, environmental activist, war and human rights correspondent and award-winning poet who has worked in many remote, dangerous parts of the world. His critically acclaimed novels depict the innate hunger of the human heart for what is good, the intense joys of love, the terror and fury of battle, the sinister conspiracies of international politics and multinational corporations, and the beauty of the vanishing natural world.

The topic of the day is immigration reform! I am with my guest speaker, Joanna, as she shares her inspiring story of how President Barack Obama's immigration reform helped her to experience the greatness of America that many Americans take for granted. Listen to her testominial and then YOU can decide (or have more information to make a decision) once and for all if the new immigration reform is good for America or not.
* Episode Features*
- A real testominial (honest and not a "paid" review of any kind) from guest speaker, Joanna, about how Obama's immigration reform has truly helped her and her family for the better.
Well, we heard it, have it, Barack Obama’s “comprehensive immigration reform”.
Did you hear the speech or read the transcript?
Speaking of “script”, did he actually make an inference to Holy Scripture? Well, he never claimed to have any sense of shame in what he furthers and represents.
So, according to Mr. Obama, almost 5 million illegal immigrants, who have not committed any crimes, can stay here, provided they meet certain criteria?
But, isn’t the fact that they are here illegally, a crime?
Yet, the question for those who oppose this Executive Order, lingers; what is to be done about the millions of others, who are here illegally?
Does the country have the resources to appropriately deport them? Even if possible, do conservatives even have the will to do so?
What impact will this have on black Americans (not that I expected Mr. Obama to even consider such)?
Either way, the controversy is far from over, as the GOP promises action, to what is perceived to unconstitutional.
At this writing, there has been no grand jury decision regarding officer Darren Wilson, but if there is, we will certainly discuss the Ferguson / Michael Brown incident and aftermath, as well.
We want to review these points and more, this Saturday, November 22nd , on Critical Discourse
The topic of the day is ObamaCare! I am with my guest speaker, Connie, as she shares her inspiring story of how President Barack Obama's healthcare reform helped her to receive medicine for a serious illness she is facing. Without ObamaCare, she says that getting the medicine would not be possible for her. Listen to her testominial and then YOU can decide (or have more information to make a decision) once and for all if ObamaCare (Obama Care) is good for America or not.
* Episode Features*
- A real testominial (honest and not a "paid" review of any kind) from guest speaker, Connie, about how ObamaCare is allowing her to get medicine that she otherwise could not obtain.
