With a live Rock n Roll show that is second to none the GooDBarS are not only irreverant straight ahead Rock n Roll fun but they are also all charasmatic down to Earth guys. You'll here songs from their Self Titled Debut and candid interviews with the members of the group from there last show at the Hexagon Bar in Mpls, MN. The interview audio isn't the best quality but like I said we were at the Hexagon and anyone who loves original MN music is probably no stranger to fighting the bar noise to carry on a conversation. Unfortunately, the bands had started when Bart Klassen arrived, so the audio for that conversation albeit highly entertaining and most likely extremely stimulating to members of the opposite sex could NOT be used. Never fear ladies you can catch him at the next show Nov.14th at Mayslacks or Dec.13th with Impaler ath the Amsterdam. This show is Rated are for the use of the F word which isn't meant to offend but is a term of endearment in the MN Music Scene.
N@#%^ , A word that everyone is afraid to define. It has many meanings, used frequently, very controversial and misunderstood. What's your perception of the word and how has it been used in your life? Is it derogatory and offensive or is simply a term of endearment?

BE CAREFUL WHO YOU GIVE YOUR "sword" TOO!!!!!!
Our thoughts (WORDS) have power – much more than we often realize.
Words and titles have power because they frame our thoughts into a certain set of beliefs without us even realizing it. Calling someone "reverend"; "doctor"; "bishop" "pastor"; “royal” or “Your Highness” automatically places them above you and
makes you mentally or spiritually subservient in your mind.
Calling a judge “Your Honor” achieves the same thing. Therefore it very is important that when you think about these energy parasites, that you NEVER call them “A TERM OF ENDEARMENT” because you will be literally handing them your power and energy by doing so.

WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO US AS A PEOPLE THAT WE HAVE GOTTEN SO COMFORTABLE WITH BEING CALLED AND EVEN CALLING OURSELVES; BAD BITCHES,THOTS, DIME PIECES, 5 STAR CHICKS, AND WHATEVER ELSE THERE IS THAT "WOMEN" ARE CALLED THESE DAYS. WHAT HAPPENED TO US BEING CALLED QUEEN, SISTER, BEAUTIFUL, AND THINGS THAT DIDN'T DEGRADE US AND SEET US BACK 300+ YEARS. WHAT HAPPENED TO US WEARING OUR CROWWNS, HOLDING OUR HEADS UP AND HAVING RESPECT FOR OURSELVES??? I GUESS WHEN ALL YOU SEE ON TV AND HEAR IN MUSIC IS WOMEN BEING REFERRED TO IN THAT MANNER, SOME OF THESE WEAK MINDED WOMEN CHOOSE TO GO ALONG FOR THE RIDE AND ACCEPT THOSE NAMES AS TERMS OF ENDEARMENT. THIS TYPE OF BEHAVIOR MUST STOP IN ORDER FOR US AS WOMEN AS WELL OUR COMMUNITIES TO GROW AND BECOME STRONGER AND BETTER. WOMEN ARE THE ANCHOR OF FAMILIES,COMMUNITIES,CHURCHES, ETC.,AND IF WE DON'T HAVE ENOUGH RESPECT FOR OURSELVES TO BE BETTER AND DO BETTER THEN WHERE DOES THAT LEAVE OUR CHILDREN. TUNE IN SO WE CAN DISCUSS THIS TOPIC AND WAYS THAT WE CAN TURN THINGS AROUND FOR OUR WOMEN AND COMMUNITIES.
We know it's Easter, but the show must go on! Today we'll talk about a word that's taboo for some and supposedly a "term of endearment" for others - the "n" word. Should black people use it? What about non-blacks? Then we'll talk about the idea of "good" hair and "bad" hair. Does either exist? Stick around for some entertainment news, too! Tune in today at 6!
Please join host Idale Graves and the Commish as we talk about the "N" word. We will discuss its evolution from being an extremely derrogatory term to one that is used as a part of every day language. The term has taken on a new meaning and has new intention behind it as 20 and 30 somethings use it now as a term of endearment. It has crossed racial lines and is used by just about every group as well. The NFL has past a rule banning its usage in competition and it has many including players outraged. Inquiring Minds wants to know why there is hypocrisy with regard to who can use the term.Call us and join the conversation on this explosive issue at 855-34-3532. You won't want to miss this one!
LOS ANGELES (March. 4th, 2014) -- Sports-talk radio host Dan Hardy will spotlight using the "N" word during his hour-long show. A panel of generations will weigh in on this controversial subject.
Because Jay-Z and the likes have used the word as a term of endearment, does it make it ok for other cultures to adopt? Is it ok for the younger Black generation to take a word that initially stood for hate and turn it into love?
The show will offer insight into the latest SWAC conference investigation. Last season, only seven teams played in the SWAC tournament as three teams were ineligible for the NCAA tournament due to APR penalties. The ineligible teams this year include: Southern, Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Mississippi Valley State and Grambling. Experts will discuss if Black conferences lack the academic (tutors) support that predominately white schools have at their disposal or is it just a case of lack of priorities?
In addition, the show will debate a list of the greatest female athletes of the 20th century; an era whose footprints include the mark of Jackie Joyner-Kersee, who won three gold, one silver and two bronze medals over four consecutive Olympic Games.
Tune in and be part of the conversation Thursday on the "Dan Hardy Show."
