On this episode of ‘The Smithfix’ we continue with Prepping and turn our attention to health and natural medicine.
Tonight we have a valued addition to We Resisters Radio, Brandi Medeina- Certified Nutritional Therapist and Herbalist.
Prepper Nutrition, Natural Medicine, Herbs…, this will be a great show.
Brandi moved to the wilds of the Pacific Northwest in 2004 from the foreign land of California. She escaped a long career in which she worked with two Fortune 500 companies, and one Fortune 100 company. What brought her north was an opportunity to purchase a small business in a small town which was where she wanted to raise her kids. Shortly after buying a small retail establishment that specialized in natural foods, and supplements, she recognized that she seemed to have an affinity for the retaining the knowledge that came her way.
In 2007 she attended classes and obtained a certification in Nutritional Therapy. This modality respects bio-individuality and encourages personal accountability for one’s health. Using symptom analysis, Kinesiology, and Lingual-Neural testing, she helps the individual identify nutritional deficiencies and assists in getting them back to optimal wellness.
Her passion is creation, the outdoors. Much of the time in the summer, she can be found in the woods, identifying medicinal plants, wild crafting and making her own medicines, salves and teas. After successfully home-schooling her children, she has now entered a new season, and is excited about sharing that with We Resisters Radio listeners.

Bringing the next generation of tomorrows NFL stars to you today on the College2Pro.com Players Platform Show. Join host Bo Marchionte with special guest Rodney Nichols of Benedictine.
After a strong senior season, Benedictine University defensive back Rodney Nichols has been selected for the fifth annual National Bowl, a post-season all-star game consisting of student-athletes from Division II, Division III, and NAIA schools. The game will take place at 9:00 a.m. central time on Sunday, December 7 (10:00 a.m. eastern) at Ocean Bank Field in Miami, Florida on the campus of Florida International University.
A two-year starter at cornerback, Nichols was a key member of a BenU defense that led the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference in pass defense (147.1 yards per game) this season. An All-NACC Second Team selection, the South Carolina native tallied 47 tackles, four tackles for loss, a forced fumble, five pass breakups, and four interceptions. Three of the four interceptions came in consecutive games, with one of those being returned 54 yards for a touchdown against Concordia University Wisconsin. In his two-year BenU career, Nichols intercepted seven passes and tallied 15 pass deflections. On top of this year's All-NACC honor, Nichols was named All-Sportsmanship by the conference last season.
Born in Louisiana, Wes Ricks' music is a by-product of his Choctaw Indian roots, but oddly enough, his musical journey began in Vietnam. From 1966 to 1967 he was a "River Rat" for the U.S. Navy patrolling the waters -- "a sitting duck" in a small 2-man boat, often 24-hour days, looking for Viet Cong and smugglers carrying contraband -- drugs, munitions and anything that would aid the enemy. After his tour of duty Wes signed up for guitar and keyboard lessons through the Phoenix VA Health System's Recreation Therapy program. But soon after, as he and his late wife, Margie walked through the Mall in Tempe, AZ the distinctive sound of a pentatonic flute being played by Native American flutist, Sagio called to him -- and Wes was hooked. His musical career was put on hold for 12 years, while he cared for his wife until her death in 2007. Now, he volunteers at the VA, travels and through his music Wes expresses his "inner self." His heritage, heartache, harrowing experiences and happiness are all part of his music. Oliver Wendell Holmes said: "Many people will die with their music still in them." But Wes Ricks won't be one of those people.
