Welcome to the Center for Empowered Women Blog Talk Radio Show!
While this show is focused on women, men are certainly welcome to listen as well.
There will be lots of information that people from all walks of life can use to apply to themselves and their situation.
The show is about learning new ways to increase your ability to live life on your terms - not always doing what someone else wants you to do.
Your host, Teresa Beeman, has an incredible story to share. But more than that, she will show you how you can avoid the heartaches and pain she endured at the hands of others until she finally was able to break free to live life on her own terms.
This show will air live on Mondays and Wednesdays at 11:00 am Eastern time. Shows will be available in the archives shortly after the live broadcast.
Be sure to join Teresa and Center for Empowered Women. You'll be glad you did.
If you remember the old Helen Reddy song, "I Am Woman", she talks about learning and experiencing and refusing to go back to what she was before.
She talks about gaining wisdom and being strong.
This song is the epitome of becoming an Empowered Woman.
Powerful women are not always empowered. Why? Because powerful is what someone can see on the outside. Empowered is what you feel on the inside.

Everywhere you look there are countdowns to all kinds of things: Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, vacation, the end of school - or anything of personal importance.
But today we are talking about an Empowerment Countdown. Not a countdown to make you empowered, but a countdown to start working the plan we talked about last week.
There are lots of clichés:
No one can do it for you There's no time like the present It won't happen if you don't get started, etc., etc. The point is that too often, we live our lives trying to make other people happy. Did you know that's an exercise in futility? You can't make anyone else happy.
And if you aren't careful, you won't be happy either.
So let's look at what you can do to get your 64-Day Empowerment Countdown underway.
Why 64 days? Because that's how many days there are left in 2013. Do you want to make 2014 an awesome year? Yes? Then you have to start now - in 2013 - and make the most of what you've got.
Join Teresa Beeman for a discussion on how to start your 64-Day Empowerment Countdown.

Clutter! As Mark Twain said when he was talking about the weather: "Everybody talks about, but nobody does anything about it."
Well, that may not be exactly true because there are self-proclaimed de-cluttering experts. There are people who, for a fee, will clean up, throw away and de-clutter your "stuff" for you.
Clutter can wreak all kinds of havoc in your life. But can it disempower you?
The Center for Empowered Women seeks to help you find self-empowerment. Anything you do to disempower yourself is counter-productive.

Today's topic is: 7 Ways to Tell If You've Given up Your Empowerment.
Many people feel that they have lost any chance of ever claiming their lives as their own. They wouldn't know the first place to start to do that.
We're going to help you with an assessment of where you are right now and the decision to where you want to go.
Join Teresa Beeman as she guides you through 30 minutes of thought-provoking self-analysis. Then draw yourself a new map of where you want to go and how you want to get there.
The terms "personal power" and "empowerment" are often used to mean the same thing. But are they really, or do they have different meanings?
Quite often people use words that have personal meaning for them - even if a dictionary definition might not agree.
The important thing is whether a person has a word to use - to focus on that will help when things are not going well - something to act as a guide through a dificult time.
Just like finding a word that has personal meaning, a well-developed Plan of Action acts as a compass to build up personal power.
Today's show focuses on Developing Your Personal Empowerment Plan.
