Consumer-Driven Health Accounts & Wearables in Wellness

    in Business

On this week's program, hosts Doug Field, Ron Bachman and Brent Macy are live in the studio with special guests from Flex and Healthiest Employers for conversations on consumer-driven health accounts (HSAs, HRAs and FSAs) and the role of wearable devices in workplace wellness programs.

The first guest on the show will be David Lindgren, Senior Manager, Compliance & Public Affairs, Flexible Benefit Service Corporation (Flex). With the ACA weighing on employers’ every health care decision, it is no surprise that they are doing whatever they can to stabilize costs for themselves, while better engaging their employees into the cost-sharing process. The integration of consumer-driven health accounts has rapidly emerged at the workplace as a key strategy to combat rising health care costs. As an advocate in this marketplace, Flex pondered how many employers are offering these plans, how offer rates differ by employer size and, in light of the ACA, what the future holds for their growth or demise. In this segment, David and the hosts will discuss the key findings from a recent survey that collected responses from more than 500 employers of all sizes throughout the U.S.

The second guest on this week's program will be Rod Reasen, Chief Executive Officer of Healthiest Employers. The wearable movement is here. In fact, according to a new survey from Healthiest Employers, 54 percent of employers are looking to purchase wearables in the next twelve months. Yet, only seven percent have a plan to use the data to improve health. In this interview, Rod and the hosts will outline what employers want in an a wearable, the reasons to purchase and how to “connect the dots” between activity and outcomes.

Will Small Business Gain From Corporate Tax Overhaul? - SBEC's Ray Keeting

    in Entrepreneur

The Obama Administration and Congress have been at odds for months over a major overhaul of U.S. Corporate tax laws. Everyone seems to agree that something should be done but how will small business owners benefit?

Raymond J. Keating who serves as chief economist with the Small Business & Entrepreneurship Council (SBE Council), a nonpartisan, nonprofit small-business advocacy group, says corporate tax reform alone won't get the job done and instead insists it has to be comprehensive across the board tax reform. Keeting, who talks with host Kelly Scanlon, maintains small business owners who employee 55 percent of the private sector workforce and earn more than 60 percent of net business income shouldn't be ignored.

Keeting writes, speaks and testifies on a wide range of issues affecting the entrepreneurial sector of the economy.

THOR EXCLUSIVE " KILLER TRAFFIC TICKET SCAM" THE SANDRA BLAND CASE"

    in Education

A THOR EXCLUSIVE BROADCAST" THE KILLER TRAFFIC TICKET SCAM, THE SANDRA BLAND CASE"!!

Today THOR will address a very serious epidemic oif Private Corporate for Profit Policing, Prison System and Politicians who are engaged in a form of "Slavery and Human Trafficking" under the umbrella of Traffic Tickets and Public Safety.

SANDRA BLAND a woman visiting Texas was alllegedly stalked, profiled by a corporate employee of local municipal corporation called "Police Department". Sandra had her freedom of liberty and movement interrupted for "Failure to put on a turn Signal" in her non-commercial vehicle, in a non-commercial activity. Once pulled over "illegally" the corporate policy stalker" clearly acting on a common racial prejudice, beat, Terrorized and Assaulted her. All of this due to money hungry private corporate employees who think they have "Power to kill a Man/Woman for at best a civil matter. Then Samuel Dubose was killed in similar fashion but by a University of Ohio Police Officer (Security Guard) for absolutely no reason. He is no doubt a copy cat killer essentially duplicating the criminal acts he see's others in so called Law Enforcement commit everyday without consequence, and against so called Black People and or so called Minorities. Dubose was shot in the head and the University Security Guard fabricated a erroneus story similar to those created by others in his occupational arena. Sandra Bland was later found Dead in her jail cell. Alleged to have committed Suicide.

Helping improve your Thyroid Gland Function with Herbs

    in Health

On tonight's show Rosie is going to discuss some important herbs and seeds to add to your diet that will help your thyroid glands and improve your overall health.

    Bladderwhack

This herb has a funny name, but it has a lot of potential for those who are experiencing an underactive thyroid. This is because it has a high iodine content and iodine is one of the most important nutrients for your thyroid. By replacing iodine, it can help to improve an underactive thyroid.
    Flaxseed

You often hear about flaxseed when it comes to digestive health and while it is important for this because it is high in fiber, it also aids your thyroid. Those with underactive thyroid can help to boost their thyroid hormone ratio by consuming this herb on a daily basis. What is ideal about this herb is that you only need about one tablespoon every day to reap the full benefits.

    Evening Primrose Oil

This herb is popular for women’s health, but it is also highly beneficial for the thyroid. In addition to aiding with underactive thyroid as a whole, it can also aid with the symptoms of this condition, such as reducing hair loss and heavy menstrual periods. It is often recommended to drink this as a tea for the most benefit.

The show is sponsored by Rosalea of Blended Herbal Treasures at www.bhtshop.com

Not So Mad Science #HaroldMuhammad 323.927.2913

    in Science

    Hosted By: Harold Muhammad

Harold, an eclectic and voracious reader, began his venture in the world of the written word as a child of 2 years.  Scraps of paper, candy wrappers, dictionary's right through the entire encyclopedia Britannica. Yet Harold was driven to books of the sciences. Physics, Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, he met them all with great wonder and fascination. He delved into each discipline as if his very life depended upon understanding its depth.

It was not until the words of The Hon. Elijah Muhammad that the essence and understanding of the sciences began to have true purpose and meaning. He said, "all there is to know is written in a book, read".

Harold began his collegiate pursuit at Hampton Institute; he then forayed to Fairleigh Dickenson University. At FDU the practice of the Social Sciences, public activism, and public speaking became a trusted part of mental fabric.

Harold is the husband to Celestine Muhammad, and the father of 10 extraordinary children, and 8 grandchildren. Harold has the benefit of having the most exceptional and wondrous teachers to whom he owes all that he has learned, will learn and knows to this very day, The Most  Hon. Elijah Muhammad, the Hon. Min. Louis Farrakhan, his Father Alfred Eatman, and his Grandfather  the Late Captain, Harold D. Hook.
