Walter Dominguez is a Southern California born and raised Latino documentary filmmaker.
Walter wrote, directed and produced his new independently made documentary feature film, Weaving the Past: Journey of Discovery, which follows Walter’s twelve year search to find his grandfather Emilio’s roots in 19th century Mexico and early 20th century Los Angeles.
His quest reveals Emilio’s deep friendship with one of Mexico’s great revolutionary heroes, Práxedis G. Guerrero, and their courageous and idealistic struggle to free Mexico of its oppressive dictator, Porfirio Díaz.
Walter brings to this award-winning film his unique sensibility as a storyteller and his perspective as an American Latino. Walter’s skills are a result of his extensive background as a director, assistant director, 2nd unit director, writer and producer in Hollywood studio features, television series, independent features, and documentary video production.
His credits as an assistant director include The Andromeda Strain, and Oklahoma Crude for Hollywood legends Robert Wise and Stanley Kramer, Play It As It Lays from auteur filmmaker Frank Perry, and Steven Ihnat’s contemporary western The Honkers. He has directed 2nd-unit for the cult thriller feature, Devil Times Five, as well as for Frank Perry’s Play It As It Lays.
He has been a member of the Director’s Guild of America (DGA) since 1972, as well as a member of the National Association of Latino Independent Producers (NALIP), Film Independent (FIND), and the International Documentary Association (IDA).
Walter is a graduate of Occidental College, having majored in history, and he did graduate work in Cinema Studies at the USC School of Cinema.
He has been married to veteran actress Shelley Morrison since 1973.

Daysi Celia Almirall, a pianist, and a versatile composer with a vast range of different rhythms and melodies. She was born Cuba, raised in a musical environment. At the tender age of 2 ½, she began to play piano by ear, inspired by children’s music and popular music of the times, she took part in a musical children’s program for Radio Emisora Cubana CMQ playing nursery rhymes on the piano. As an international artist she played a diverse repertoire in a unique 2011 Concert in Sweden. She has performed under the leadership of many times nominee musician Dr. Ed Calle as the pianist for the renowned MDC Commercial Music Ensemble. Of late Daysi Celia plays with the “MDC Salsa Jazz Band” under the direction of Rafael Valencia, while also directing her own Band “Daysi Celia`s Quartet”. A precedence on an ongoing evolution in her musical career, Daysi Celia was invited to perform as the Pianist in the band of famous Gloria Estefan`s "HOTEL NACIONAL" Video
Daysi Celia has had the honor of composing the lyrics and music for the Official 30th Anniversary of the Kiwanis of Little Havana, “El Carnaval de Miami”, 2008 of Calle Ocho, recorded by Cuban famous singer Albita Rodriguez, a huge a celebration embraced Miami’s cultural diversity people as they broke out in dance to form one other biguest conga lines ever witnessed thru Miami’s historical street “Calle Ocho”. A versatile composer, “I am inspired to compose Music through my own, and other’s experiences. There are times that I dream Music and wake up, it doesn’t matter the time, I run to my piano place the notes and words, they flow like a river, I fear that if I take a break, the music will fall into oblivion.” Daysi always shares beautiful stories and top notch quality music with Cubanarama and her listeners. The new CD "Piano Navideño"
Sometimes sequels surpass their originals. Take GODFATHER PT. 2, THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK, THE ROAD WARRIOR (MAD MAX 2) and the THE BOURNE SURPREMACY. While perhaps not in the same status, 1990s YOUNG GUNS 2 - directed by New Zealand's Geoff Murphy (the critically acclaimed UTU and THE QUIET EARTH) and written by John Fusco (THUNDERHEART, HIDALGO, SPIRIT:STALLION OF THE CIMARRON), would outdo the "MTV Western" tone of it's predecessor to emerge as one of the better straight-up westerns of it's decade; managing to not only bring back original participants Emilio Estevez, Keifer Sutherland and Lou Diamond Phillips, but also lassoing such new luminaries as James Coburn, William Peterson, Viggo Mortensen and Scott Wilson. Includes archival audio commentary by Estevez, Fusco, Phillips, Sutherland and more; as well as excerpts from Alan Silvestri's now classic score, and (of course) Jon Bon Jovi's Oscar nominated / Grammy winning tune "Blaze Of Glory". Also dig the "side by side" comparisons of the actors alongside archival images of the true-life personalities they portray within the film.

Joe Estevez' first time on the stage was as a 6-year-old playing the "Evil Inn Keeper" in a Christmas Nativity play, and as an actor he has never looked back. Born the last of ten children to an Irish immigrant mother and a Spanish immigrant father, Joe was raised in Dayton Ohio to be a factory worker but he had other plans for himself, and two hundred and thirty some films later Joe feels his decision was correct. (Younger brother of actor, Martin Sheen, Uncle to actors, Charlie Sheen & Emilio Estevez, Renee Estevez, and Ramon Estevez)
For most actors the road is never easy, but through perseverance, faith and talent Joe has become an accomplished actor, and in Hollywood today he is one of the busiest actors for one reason: He is one of the best at what he does. Joe can be seen weekly on the T.V. series "Hollywood Joe" and as the host of the critically acclaimed Faith Film Festival in N.Y.C. And if you want to read about Joe, pick up a copy of his book "Wiping off the Sheen".
Joe joins Take 2 Radio to talk about his career, many upcoming projects, and his book, on Wednesday, Nov. 20th at 7pm eastern!
