The New Essenes - via Emilio and Elevate the Soul

    in Spirituality

The New Essenes is a gathering of ordinary people practicing deep introspection as a way to solve everyday problems. Our inquiry is based on the idea that language is alive and that the Word is where our Power lives: since speech is an act, communication is not what is said and done, but the result of what is said and done.

By joining in and coming back, we increasingly benefit from the distilled essence of an ultimate method of inquiry, based on Sacred Geometry and known as the Path of XPR.

Our meetings last one-hour & are structured as follows:

    1.       The first 5 minutes: Welcoming, Checking In. One Minute of Silence.

    2.       The next 10 minutes:  Readings

    3.       The last 45 minutes: Introduction of a topic. Group Sharing & Inquiry, .

Why are People so Judgmental? - Quantum Physics of Beliefs

    in Self Help

    Why are People so Judgmental?

    Radio Talk, August 30, 2014

"When you judge another, you do not define them, you define yourself." – Wayne Dyer

“It is not for me to judge another man's life. I must judge, I must choose, I must spurn, purely for myself. For myself, alone." –Hermann Hesse, in Siddhartha

“We are all hypocrites. We cannot see ourselves or judge ourselves the way we see and judge others.” –José Emilio Pacheco, in Battles in the Desert and Other Stories

"Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." –Matthew 7:1-2

"Let he who is without sin cast the first stone." –John 8:7

"Whenever we act as judge between people, we make them hate each other even more and one side ends up hating us, too." –Izzy Kalman

"Before You Judge me, make sure that You are Perfect."

Judging is a precarious business. Traditional psychology and most religious and ethical systems advise us not to judge our fellow human beings. Judging other people makes it difficult to understand and help them.

WALTER DOMINGUEZ, Latino award winning filmmaker

    in Entertainment

WALTER DOMINGUEZ, Latino award winning filmmaker

Being a CTE Teacher in my other life I hear all the time about students who are going to leave high school and immediately make the “Big Time $$$$” in some field of Entertainment and so today I wanted to talk to someone  who has actually “been there, done that”. I give full credit for borrowing the show descriptions from  my friends at Armando F. Sanchez productions and for the Information Provided by Walter’s Public Relations People

In our fast-paced, chaotic world, it is difficult (if not impossible) to imagine the lives of those who came before us, even just two generations ago.  And yet, more than ever, each of us still has a yearning to connect with the past, to better understand those who came before us and made us who we are.

That is the journey undertaken by filmmaker Walter Dominguez in the extraordinary documentary “Weaving the Past:  Journey of Discovery.”

As a young man, Dominguez was inspired by his grandfather, Emilio, known as “Tata,” who was one of the most prominent and beloved Mexican Methodist ministers in idyllic Santa Paula in rural Southern California.  A community leader who was known for his generous heart and kind spirit, Tata died in 1973.  Three decades later, with the generation that knew Tata best quickly dying away, Dominguez picked up his camera to uncover the long-hidden secrets of Tata’s earliest years.

Walter brings to this award-winning film his unique sensibility as a storyteller and his perspective as an American Latino. Walter’s skills are a result of his extensive background as a director, assistant director, 2nd unit director, writer and producer in Hollywood studio features, television series, independent features.

His quest reveals Emilio’s deep friendship with one of Mexico’s great revolutionary heroes, Práxedis G. Guerrero, and their courageous and idealistic struggle to free Mexico of its oppressive dictator, Porfirio Díaz.

Walter brings to this award-winning film his unique sensibility as a storyteller and his perspective as an American Latino. Walter’s skills are a result of his extensive background as a director, assistant director, 2nd unit director, writer and producer in Hollywood studio features, television series, independent features, and documentary video production.
