• Money is Love In Action

    in Spirituality

So it's a new year and many of us are trying to figure out how we can improve our financial situation and increase our income this year.

Paradoxically, while many of us desire to earn more money, we also have lots of conflicting, negative beliefs about money:

"Money is the root of all evil."
"It's easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle, than it is for a rich man to enter heaven."

Often we believe that money is evil and having money is a bad thing, even when we know we need money to help ourselves, our family, and others.

Many people feel guilty about having money, especially when we see that other people do not have as much as we do. Others think they don't deserve to have money, for any number of reasons.

How do you feel when you see these words: "Money is Love in Action?" Your response will clue you in to your relationship with money.

Join Spiritually Dope coach, Amanda Elise, as she has an insightful chat with hosts Coach Seah and Dr Chan about "Money is Love in Action."

Join the conversation by dialing 347-308-8709 when we go live on Wednesday, January 7 at 1pm (EST / UTC-5).

    Wings: The Journey Home

    in Spirituality

Elizabeth Emily Hicks and William Raymond Hicks are a husband and wife team who met in 1996 through a transformational workshop.  During much personal growth together, Elizabeth, a.k.a. Elise, and William were inspired to write "Wings: The Journey Home" because they wanted to impart the wisdom that they have gained from their life experiences, in a fun and inspiring way.  Elise and William are both students of history, psychology, self-empowerment, metaphysics and quantum physics.   ‘Wings', an inspiring coming of age tale about an eagle who forgets, is their first published book.  They have written several other fictional and non-fictional e-books together and separately, which they have published on Smashwords.  They live in a rare and beautiful urban sanctuary, called Mariners Village in Marina del Rey, California, where Great Blue Herons and other wildlife live, but developers and politicians have renovation plans that would remove all of the trees, well over 1,000, as well as the last nesting grounds for the Great Blue Heron.  They have banded together with their neighbors and local organizations to create the Friends of Mariners Village and the Lorax Project, in order to save the trees and even more importantly the vision that Mariners Village represents, namely, that man and nature can live together in harmony.  Check out their websites: http://www.wingsthejourneyhome.com and http://www.gofundme.com/ProtectLAsCoastalForest

Also, Gloria Jelladian, a former guest, is stopping by with a Holiday gift for you and news about her recent book, Beloved Forever.

TRU-Life Fridays: How much did pro-life issues factor in Elections 2014?

    in Politics Conservative

With the "wave" win for the GOP in the 2014 elections this past week, TLFR hosts will analyze how much of a factor pro-life issues played into the campaigns.  We celebrate the wins of many pro-life WOMEN to various levels of elected office, but we will also talk accountability now that the elections are over.

What is the difference between suicide and assisted suicide?  The stories of Brittany Maynord and now Robert Mitton tell us there is a lot more to this pro-life issue than the right to die with dignity.

In Britain, a mother is awarded by a court the permission to starve her daughter to death.  Listen as we discuss how this really isn't the far-fetched idea that it sounds like.

Plus, we have a lot more headlines to get to, including the execution of Iranian Reyhaneh Jabbari.  We will talk about her case in the light of ongoing foreign relations with the U.S. government.

Learning Well Radio with Elise Marquam Jahns 11.4.14

    in Spirituality

Elise Marquam Jahns interviews certified coach and equine guided educator, Lynn Baskfield.

In Lynn's words: Horses are intuitive beings who can show us in an instant when we are fooling ourselves and when we are on the right track. When clients leave an equine-guided session, they leave with insights they can immediately apply to their lives. The focus is on human skills, not horse skills. We work on the ground, making it possible for clients of all abilities, with or without horse experience, to benefit from the work.
