Said El Harrak Joins the FNU Combat Sports Show!

    in Sports

This week we chat with Pro Boxer Said El Harrak (12-2-2, 7 KOs), who will be facing Chris Pearson (11-0, 9 KOs) on the Manny Pacquiao vs. Floyd Mayweather Jr. undercard on May 2nd. Born in London, El Harrak relocated to California as a young teenager and had an impressive amateur career. He turned pro in 2008 and won his first eight fights, leading to a ShoBox bout against fellow unbeaten Lanard Lane. The 5’11 El Harrak, who scaled in at 157 pounds for a bout two months prior to meeting Lane, took extreme measures to make 144 pounds for the opportunity. Unfortunately, he was unable to rehydrate and suffered a second round stoppage. After a three fight unbeaten streak, he lost a controversial split decision to contender Jesus Soto Karass on AztecaAmerica. Following the debatable setback, El Harrak scored two straight third round stoppages and battled to a draw against 17-2 Luis Grajeda. El Harrak will give us his thoughts on this huge opportunity and tell us about his boxing career in the second hour of the show. Tom, Tony and Rich also take our listeners through the week's combat sports news, results and events.

    -Elena Radford

Born and raised in Peru, Elena Camargo Radford comes from a lineage of an Ancient Incan Culture. This ancient linage is steeped in shamanic teachings and practices. She has inherited and developed the sacred language and communication used by her people from over thousands of years ago. The tools accompanying these skills are multi-dimensional in quality and unlike others, allow Elena to tap into the DNA and ancestral heritage of the subjects in order to heal them on every level, reaching the spirit and soul, eliminating any and all negative energy. This technique, unique to the Ancient Incan Tribe, has been suppressed over the centuries…

As a child, Elena’s questions about life were often received on a vibrational level, in stillness, “They just came to me from the plants, the animals and the mountains,” said Elena. During her childhood, this same connection existed with other children as it would come to her in a wave of emotion, feeling their story, their background, their home. Trusting this feeling, and knowing she has a gift, Elena cultivated, nourished and developed these qualities well into her college years until she moved to the United States. “Culturally,” she says, “it was different here and I found people not understanding or embracing my ways. I was young too. Consequently I tried to shut out my natural tendencies of intuition and healing. I thought it didn’t fit into the lifestyle here.”

Elena’s practice of Inca shamanism includes, activating water, Crystals, and the information within them that allows people to clear their DNA. As an Incan Shaman, she is well revered and respected by her peers. Elena shares her gifts and insights, by providing numerous services to others, including individual sessions, web-seminars and workshops.

Open Mic Night: Air Your Combat Sports Observations, Gripes and Grievances

    in Sports

This week we have so many worthy topics to discuss from a bonanza of professional boxing bouts to Zuffa's latest card featuring the words "and the new" shouted out by Bruce Buffer after UFC 185's two marquee title matches. Both Sergio and Anthony Pettis were exposed on the same card, Kovalev pummeled Pascal, Spike TV & Al Haymon's Boxing partnership delivered some interesting fights, and there is a new UFC women's Straw-weight champ named Joanna Jedrzejczyk, who imposed her will on Carla Esparza until she scored a KO with Esparza's back against the cage. Rafael Dos Anjos' main event clash with Pettis ended with him taking home the Lightweight Championship belt thanks to a dominating five-round beat-down. Any topic is open for discussion from Manny Pacquiao vs. Floyd Mayweather Jr. to this week's news to longstanding issues or positive developments you want to point out from combat sports circles. We will also have a "gripe line" for those who can't call in live from 8-10PM Thursday night. Call and leave a message for Rabble Rousin' Rich Bergeron at 617-209-4325, and if it's a good point we'll air it on the show. Call in live to the show at 347-324-3228 from 9:00 PM to 10:00 PM EST. Rich, Tony, and Tom will also chat about the past week's events, upcoming events, and other big news stories during the first hour of the broadcast.
