Arts and Science Together in Business

    in Lifestyle

Can you imagine a world without business?  It looks pretty desolate, doesn't it?  Can you look around you and see the impact of people in art and science through business in your life?  It looks pretty awesome, doesn't it?   Why is it we don't celebrate all the value creators in business instead of those who enteretain us through politics?

What went wrong to cause America to fall off its' course of growing into a nation full of every individual crreating values?  Is it possible there is a solution to poverty?  If so, how would the world look?  I bring this up on a Thursday hoping to stir you into returning for "Free-For-All-Friday" at blogtalk.radio.com.  I spend all week long helping you see the lowest common-denominator in many topics and have a hope that on Friday you will add your two-cents to the open mic day of the week.  Perhaps you don't like something I said, then, let me have it.  If something I shared doesn't make sense, then, come ask me a question on Friday!   Let's look at a world void of arts, science, business and then look at all the values we have because individuals merge their art and science with business.

Bring in a better future by knowing where value comes from and where it is exchanged and why prices go up that cause declining standards of living, as you listen today.  Thanks for being here!

Call-In or listen by phone: 657-383-1002

    Call-In via Skype

    Saturdays at 11am EST / 8am PST

    Tell Your Friends!

For several months, I have been offering one on one private sessions, by phone or Skype, for a few listeners of Lost Arts Radio. We discuss how the special knowledge of health and consciousness, that we feature on our show, can be used in real life situations. I don’t give medical advice (or diagnose, treat, manage or cure and disease or condition – for those things or anything medical, see your health professional). I share my experience and research of the last 50 years, and many have found this very helpful. Now we offer something similar, to callers on our Saturday show. The interactions are shorter, as other callers are trying to get through, but I hope I can still share some information and perspectives with each of you that will help you in some way. This information is meant to be shared and used. Private sessions are limited in availability, but the show is freely accessible to everyone.

Numbers, patterns, synchronicity... our universe is woven together with a universal intelligence that we all have access to. What patterns and connections have shown up for you? Kian discusses numerology of the past, present and future, sacred geometry, fractals, and unexpected alliances between logic and spirituality.

Kian Xie is a card reader, channeler, numerologist and mathematical intuitive. Raised by a logical, academic family with no religion or spirituality, he experienced a spiritual awakening in 2011 and has been practicing the intuitive arts ever since. Combine that with a Master's degree in Mathematical Studies and a passion for helping lightworkers unlock their gifts, and you get a powerhouse of knowledge and inspiration.

Live:Honoring a Living Reggae Icon CARLOS MALCOLM music legacy

    in Music

Carlos Malcolm was born in Panama 1935 to Jamaican parents and grew up in Kingston. His father, Wilfred Malcolm, went to Panama and worked as a bookkeeper in the Panama Canal Zone. He became a prominent business man in the city of Colon, established homes in both countries and sent his five children back to Jamaica to be educated. Having studied the liturgy and music of the Anglican (Episcopalian) Church, Wilfred Malcolm was an Anglican church choir director for many years. He also played trombone in the "Jazz Aristocrats", a Panamanian Dixieland band for which he was manager, and he took the band to Jamaica in 1936

This probably accounts for Carlos's notoriety among peers as a "musical chameleon" because he arranges music and functions comfortably in a variety of musical cultures and genres. His father and a few prominent West Indian businessmen in Panama formed a committee that brought to Panama world-class Black American artists in the performing arts. As a child, Carlos recalls listening from the bedroom to conversations and laughter from guests, including celebrated artistsPaul Robeson (baritone), Marian Anderson (contralto), Hazel Scott–Powell (wife of Adam Clayton Powell Jr., of Abyssinia Baptist Church of Harlem) as they came to late dinners after recitals at a local theatre.

Carlos's father taught him to play the trombone. He also recognised Carlos's natural gift for creating and arranging music and supported his son's desire to pursue an education in the arts. Carlos holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Union Institute and University of Cincinnati, Ohio.

    Animals Characterize Empowerment Teachings

    in Education

Storytelling is the practice of leadership

One of the most powerful tools an organizer can choose to use is the art of storytelling. It is the context of public speaking to all sorts of audiences. Stories that tend to be more compelling answer the “why” of our values in our belief systems. Elements of the story help us gain practice in hearing and coaching others to share their stories. It is here leaders employ the head to heart method. In other words they motivate people to change.

Should you wish to contact us through email: bderrick@nativestudioart.net

We are looking to host people on the show. Do you empower others in your line of work? If so, how so? Love to hear from you my friend. Drop an email our way and share with us how you empower others.
