Host Lori Wilk welcomes I.R.A. Electric CEO, Ira Kornberg to Successipes to talk about how the service industry is embracing social media networking as a pathway to building more clientele. We are going to learn from other business owners who have years of business experience and how they are taking steps to be involved in Social Media which can expand their reach and influence. http://www.IRAElectric.com. We know that people are connected and the efforts of others can help us. One cool fact I learned about Ira is that he is also a talented multi-media artist. Some of his artwork can be seen at the Clay Glass Metal Stone Gallery located at 15 South J Street, Downtown Lake Worth, a non-profit cooperative of local, 3-d artists. You can e-mail the studio as cGMSGalley@FlamingoClayStudio.Org .
San Francisco based band The Shams are releasing their highly anticipated EP “One and All” on February 24th, 2015. This multifaceted, Irish-influenced rock band showcases their strong and original song writing skills, and the lads are touring across the West Coast to promote their explosive EP.
Whether it was a stroke of luck or pure genius, The Shams formed in 2011 when musician and guitarist Joey Kennedy (Kilkenny, Ireland) reached out to his friend and fellow Irishman Sean Daly (Donegal, Ireland) to join musical forces as the front man for their new project. Daly quickly brought in James Scragg (Cork, Ireland), an old friend and accomplished drummer. Shortly after, talented Irish-American Tommy O`Mahony joined the band with his funky bass. The final member to join was Northern California native Henry Moser, whose expertise on the electric guitar rounds out the group’s explosive and distinctive sound.
Finding a home improvement contractor just got a whole lot easier.
If you have ever thought about remodeling your home, you know that it could get complicated in a hurry. And while we're licensed contractors and have been banging around in the remodeling world for more than a decade, we still run into situations where we need to find a reputable electrician or plumber. So Mark and Theresa were psyched to learn about HomeAdvisor's solution. It's like Tindr for construction.
Mark and Theresa also are talking remodeling advice, trends, tips, and design ideas in this episode from the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show.
Guests on this episode include our construction idols Norm Abram and Tom Silva from This Old House, Brooke Gabbert from HomeAdvisor, DIY Network's 'Rescue Renovation' host Kayleen McCabe, HGTV 'Design Star' and Kohler expert Tyler Wisler, celebrity chef Joe Arvin, and HGTV's 'Income Property' host Scott McGillivray.

I was, first, introduced to Chris Widener (http://chriswidener.com/) by watching videos and listening to audio material by people like Jim Rohn, Brian Tracy, Denis Waitley and others. Chris' book "The Angel Inside" transformed my thinking.
From Chris' Website:
Chris Widener is widely recognized as one of the top speakers in the world today. He has spoken all over the world in places like Germany, Spain, Russia, China, Egypt, Singapore, Australia and of course, all over the United States and Canada. Chris speaks to groups as small as 100 and as large as 25,000 people. His clients are a “who’s who” of American businesses and organizations, including notables like General Electric, Cisco Systems, Microsoft and the Harvard Business School. Chris’ dynamic, practical and engaging speeches will have your audience laughing one minute and learning timeless truths of success the next.
Chris was hand selected by two of the legends of the speaking world to work with them and he now carries on their legacy. Jim Rohn, one of the most successful speakers of the last 50 years, and also known for being Tony Robbins first mentor, made Chris his last protege and worked with Chris the last seven years of his life. Chris and Jim co-authored the Jim Rohn One Year Success Plan as well as Jim’s last book, The Twelve Pillars, which has become an international best-seller. Jim called Chris “The Leader of the next generation of personal development and leadership experts.”
On today's Show I am sharing a portion of Chris' talk called "Becoming a Person Others Want to Follow."
Go to Chris' website and learn so much from him. He has, literally, stood on the shoulders of giants. Learn from him.
For quite some time, among a certain crowd at least, the current thang has been playing straight in: going from guitar straight to tube amp, with nothing more than a good cable in between. Everything else you add to the chain, apparently, just further emasculates you. Pedals? That’s cheating—especially when they’re of the overdrive variety and used to achieve your lead sound. The real man (or manly-toned woman) cranks up the amp and uses the guitar’s volume to achieve clean to crunch to all-out lead, and that’s that. Anything more is just, well, less; it’s a crutch, and you’re not a “real player” if you indulge it.
The music your electric guitar makes has as much to do with the equipment you use as the way you play. Oftentimes, rock 'n' roll is musically simplistic but technologically complex. By combining multiple effects pedals, a rock guitarist can make even simple, conventional songs sound powerful and unique.
