Carson's Corner with the Election Boycott Advocates.

    in Politics Progressive

On this episode of Carson's Corner with the Election Boycott Advocates, we discuss the latest article by William Edstrom from Counter Punch titled, "Waiting for Collapse: USA Debt Bombs Bursting." as capitalism requires the accumulation of debt, which some argue resulted in the 2008 financial collapse at the federal level, a growing number of cities are going to have their "debt bombs" burst any time soon. As usual, we can expect the working class to pay the heaviest price.

Bob and Chris will also discuss the up-coming Workers World Party National Conference in New York City on November 7th and 8th. If you are in the area, we invite you to attend this conference with your fellow workers, workers who have been fighting capitalist oppression since 1959.

Carson's Corner with The Election Boycott Advocates.

    in Politics Progressive

On this episode of Carson's Corner with the Election Boycott Advocates, Bernie Sanders has been compared to Jeremy Corbyn, the newly elected Labour Party leader in the U.K.; however, as Election Boycott Advocate Christopher Alan Driscoll points out, there is a world of difference between the two: Corbyn is a life long socialist, a supporter of nationalization of banks, energy and railroads, and strengthening the National Health Service... also, he is staunchly anti-war, unlike Sanders, and the chairman of the Stop the War Coalition, the largest and most popular peace group in Britain. Are the Bernie Bots trying to pull the wool over our eyes?

Plus, we'll address President Putin's response to the Obama administration's accusation of sending troops to Syria, the recent GOP debate, and the Chinese economy and stock markets and what that means for our economy.

Its Election Time: Its Time To Sign The Petition For Reform and Save Families

    in Family

Should "The Deadbeat Parent Punishment Act" be revisited, reopened, revised and reformed and "demarcated" to help protect "Decent Disadvantaged Non Custodial Parent Obigors?

Go to this website to sign this petition...

The message is clear to have dialogue about the Deadbeat Parent Punishment Act ("DPPA"). Does everyone deserve to be called out of their name a "deadbeat?

Its election time and time for a new President to arise and this subject needs looking into, to uncover does everyone that pays child support fall under the " DPPA" catagory and what are some of the issues in child support that need officials attention?

To demarcate the difference between decent people and deadbeat people when paying child support.
To find another name to call people that can't pay child support.
Does this "Act" violate the constitution under cruel and unusual punishment and involuntary servitude "Slavery?"
    Is this "Act" unfair?

We feel there is a catastrophy about to happen, if our elected officials don't view this systemic issue and reopen the "DPPA" and reconstruct this act that was signed in by President Bill Clinton in 1996. To give a way of escape to decent disadvantaged non custodial parent obligors; a chance to have protection and a cushion of relief from this act.

If you agree with this campaign for change in the " Deadbeat Parent Punishment Act," for Decent Disadvantaged Non Custodial Parent Oblogors, please sign this partition, so we may have proof of other concerned citizens voices in this matter, when we visit in Washington DC.

Boston College Football Week 6: Wake Forest Demon Deacons

    in Sports

After losing to Duke last weekend, it's back to the drawing board once more for Steve Addazio and the Boston College Eagles. Now at 3-2, they face a pivotal game when they take on the Wake Forest Demon Deacons at home on Saturday.

Five games into the season, the Eagles are facing so many unanswered questions in the face of mounting injuries. The defense is playing out of its mind, but the offense seems stuck in neutral or, at times, in reverse.

Much of the discussion revolves around the quarterback position. Troy Flutie and Jeff Smith now have two weeks' worth of game experience under their belt, and we still don't know who the full-time signal caller should be. One thing's for sure - we will see two quarterbacks on Saturday.

In order to get into the mind of the coach and go through the progressions of the quarterback mind, we need to pick the brain of an actual quarterback. For that, we turn to one of the all-time Eagle greats - Brian St. Pierre.

Brian St. Pierre was arguably the greatest high school quarterback in the state of Massachusetts. Matriculating to Boston College, he played as a redshirt freshman, rotating in as a sophomore, before becoming a starter in his junior year. Following his BC career, where he finished as a top five passer in school history, he was a fifth round choice of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Now the head coach of St. John's Prep High School, St. Pierre has the task of tutoring young minds to gear up for Friday Night Lights. In his second year as head coach at his alma mater, he's already led SJP to the Division I North Final and has the team poised to replicate last year's success with a 4-0 start and top five ranking in the state of Massachusetts.

So tune in at 8 PM ET and give us a call at 646-200-0446 as we load up on quarterback talk and get ready for #TheRivalry on Saturday!

Carson's Corner with the Election Boycott Advocates.

    in Politics Progressive

On this episode of Carson's Corner with the Election Boycott Advocates, we begin by discussing the latest mass shooting at Umpqua Community College in Oregon. The alleged shooter, Chris Harper Mercer, was a right-wing extremist who held white supremacist views, much like many rampage killers these days. Is capitalism to blame for the violent society we live in (since the Sandy Hook massacre, 142 school shootings have occurred)?  Are white racially aggrieved males turning violent against their perceived enemies because of the conditions of capitalism? How about gun control, will we suddenly see a drop in rampages if enact more strict gun laws?

Russia is now conducting airstrikes on terrorists in Syria, the same terrorists that President Obama is defending. Plus, Putin and several other world leaders delivered speeches at the U.N. We'll discuss this and more.
