Community violence includes many events. It might be a stranger using physical threat or direct violence to take something or hurt someone. It can also be violence between family members, close partners, or peers. These events may include cruel acts such as being shot, raped, stabbed, or beaten.
Most of the attention from media and research is on community violence that involves adults. However, many children and teens face violence in their neighborhoods and schools. Such violence can have effects on children.
How much community violence do children face?

In this episode we will be discussing one of the most critical invisible wounds adult children of alcoholics experience.
The need to feel 'seen' on a psychological, emotional and spiritual level is crucial to a child's ability to define for themselves who they are and their unique experiences. Without sufficient energy bonding with mother and or father, children spend their lives seeking to gain this much needed connection in others. Sadly children from dysfunctional homes most often do not attract healthy partners, friends, coworkers and etc. Because this is a cause and effect universe, and becasue one of the first agenda's of a soul is to feel 'seen' by mother and father, wounded adult children unconsciously on an energetic level attract similar energies to their parents, in search of sealing that bond. Understanding how and why we adult children of alcoholics and narcissists, are unknowingly leaking energetically, as well as attracting abusers, helps us gain clarity and the tools we need to make life long changes that impact our lives in positive ways.

What are women made of? Men and women are learning about themselves from the wrong sources: TV, the internet, friends, and yes, P0rn! The P0rn Slayer discussed what happens when fantasy collides with your reality.
The P0rn Slayer is a bold and transparent father teaching his children about freedom from sexual addiction, perversions and p0rnography.
What does the internet, TV, the music industry, movies, and the news media all have in common? They all teach our children and teach us how we're supposed to relate with each other and ourselves sexually. The church? ...hmmm, not so much.
Real Talk is here.
Has I get ready to leave Round Rock Texas, I just share a few thoughts about the adventures I had here. We spent Christmas day with my son and his family. Having a grandson with special needs make life a bit more challenging but still does not lessen my love him.
Christmas is so much more special when children are there.
The day after Christmas My son and I took the Boys over to Austin to Harbor Freight and Fry’s to run some errands. Then I took one of my Grandsons over to Piranha records trying to find some Willie Nelson music for a future show. Normally they carrying everything but today was not one of them. Shopping with my Grandson makes me a proud Grandpa
Saturday Morning my wife went to visit some of our favorite haunts The Book Spot, Half Price Books, because both were having sales and of course we had to go
Saturday afternoon my son and took the boys out one a mini-history trip around Round Rock, First we went out to the White –Lime Mc Neil Post office because Richard had never been there
While we there a train passed by which gave Brandon a big thrill, From there we actually found the Round Rock in Rock Texas, and then onto the Round Rock Memorial Park because they have a WWII torpedo one display to honor all the Submarines lost in that war, of course this leads me to this question “Why a Torpedo in Central Texas honoring lost submarines”? Perhaps a research question for another show
We also got a picture of the Christmas Ornament at the Water Tower
Every time we come out to Texas we always have a new set of adventures highlighted by the time we get to spend Richard, Sara, Brandon and Ryan
I would be Remiss if I did not mention this but Sara made homemade Cinnamon rolls that out do anyone or any chains, or independent bakery they are the simply the best

We will attempt to separate fact from fiction by addressing some key issues
Do opposites really attract.
Does age really matter?
How do you feel about interracial couples?
Do disabilities help or hinder a relationship?
Do interfaith relationships change when children are involved?
What do when others meddle in your relationship.
Hopefully by the end of the show we will have a better understanding of why these relationships fall apart and how to prevent that from happening again
Jamaican Diva Barbara Jones Dies at the Age of 62
Jamaican Diva Barbara Jones died last Friday at the age of 62 in Kingston Jamaica. Her soul influenced reggae ballads propelled her to popularity in the seventies along with Judy Mowatt and Pam Hall.
Jones was born Barbara Nation in Kingston but grew up in Manchester, a rural parish located in central Jamaica. She began her musical career cutting a cover of American country singer Sue Thompson’s Sad Movies with the Soul Syndicate Band for Randy’s Records.
Most of her popular songs included, Evie Sands’ Angel in The Morning and Walk through This World with Me, originally done by Englebert Humperdinck and Dream Lover.
Jones toured with Jimmy Cliff as a backup singer, before giving up secular music in the early 1980s. She became a Christian and eventually recorded four gospel albums.
In May, Jones returned to her reggae roots by doing two shows in Brazil along with bassist/singer Lloyd Parks. They did shows in the cities of Teresina and Belem. Jones was shocked she had fans in Brazil, a vibrant market for so-called vintage reggae.
“I didn’t know my songs were so popular there. People always told me, I should go to Brazil as they love me there,” she told the Jamaica Observer during an interview after her return.
Barbara Jones is survived by her husband, three children and three grandchildren. The thanksgiving service for her life is scheduled for the Gregory Park Baptist Church on January 10. R.I.P Jamaican Diva Barbara Jones.http://jamaicandivas.com/tag/barbara-jones/
An essential oil is a concentrated hydrophobic liquid containing volatile aroma compounds from plants. Essential oils are also known as volatile oils, ethereal oils, aetherolea, or simply as the "oil of" the plant from which they were extracted, such as oil of clove. An oil is "essential" in the sense that it carries a distinctive scent, or essence, of the plant.Essential oils do not form a distinctive category for any medical, pharmacological, or culinary purpose. They are not essential for health.
Essential oils are generally extracted by distillation, often by using steam. Other processes include expression or solvent extraction. They are used in perfumes, cosmetics, soaps and other products, for flavoring food and drink, and for adding scents to incense and household cleaning products.
Essential oils have been used medicinally in history. Medical applications proposed by those who sell medicinal oils range from skin treatments to remedies for cancer and often are based solely on historical accounts of use of essential oils for these purposes. Claims for the efficacy of medical treatments, and treatment of cancers in particular, are now subject to regulation in most countries. As the use of essential oils has declined in evidence-based medicine, one must consult older textbooks for much information on their use.
Interest in essential oils has revived in recent decades with the popularity of aromatherapy, a branch of alternative medicine that claims that essential oils and other aromatic compounds have curative effects. Oils are volatilized or diluted in a carrier oil and used in massage, diffused in the air by a nebulizer, heated over a candle flame, or burned as incense.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Essential_oil.
Today's show goes back into the bible as I'll take a look at a few chapters and passages that show God's love for His children, His plan, and his forgiveness and mercy for all of us that just don't seem to get it right in these flesh bodies. It seems elementary, but I think one of the things we all need to remind ourselves of sometimes is that as He says, His ways are not our ways and He has far more patience quite frankly than you, I, or anyone else does. So, today, we'll take a look at some of the parts of the bible that indicate this, beginning at 4:30 and archived after that
