Thursday September 3, 2015, 6:30 - 7:30PM EDT
It's a time of reflection and restoration for us and for our nation. In the wake of personal, national, and global challenges we must strive for economic equality, racial justice, and police civility for all Americans. On this program we first take a look at what we can do to enhance our personal balance in order to cope with all the above then consider specific resolutions to address these issues on a broader scale.
Joining us first will be Ula Pasternak - wellness and human energy expert discussing personal balance during times of upheaval. Also joining us will be: Kevin Porter (author, engineer, Executive Director of 'Man Made Mentoring', and educator). Kevin will weigh in on the specific current state of African Americans (who are statistically disproportionately impacted by these societal pressures) with a focus on solutions. Mr. Porter will also discuss the impetus behind his book: "Angry Little men: Hypermasculinity, Academic Disconnect and Mentoring African American Males". You will want to catch this interview especially if you influence Black youth or care about them!Don't miss it!
Join Devin & Melissa Pellew as they discuss topics related to biblical theology, Christian apologetics and worldview issues. This week, we will be joined by Dr. Gregory B.Sadler for a discussion on the importance of Christian philosophy. Dr. Sadler will be coming on to talk about the subjects discussed in his 2011 book, Reason Fulfilled by Revelation: The 1930s Christian Philosophy Debates in France, about the broader question of Christian philosophy, and about how the 1930s debates can inform our present-day thinking about these issues. Dr. Sadler is an author and instructor at Maris College, who received both his Master's and PhD in Philosophy from Southern Illinois Carbondale. He is also founder of ReasonIO, an organization that bring philosophy into practice, making complex classical philosophical ideas accessible for a wide audience of professionals, students, and life-long learners. We will also be taking your calls so you don't want to miss this exciting and informative show!

Guest: Pamela Havey Lau - Friendship & Judge Sentences Christian to Jail in KY.
Pamela Havey Lau joins us for her second interview to discuss her book A Friend in Me: How to Be A Safe Haven for Other Women
Young women long for relational connection with women further ahead of them on the journey. Yet, without realizing it, many of us tend to distance ourselves from those in younger generations. Can we really have close relationships with women who have different thoughts on church, different experiences with family, and different ways of talking about God? Where do we start?
In A Friend in Me, Pam Lau shows you how to be a safe place for the younger women in your life. She offers five patterns women need to internalize and practice for initiating relationships and talking about issues such as faith, forgiveness, sexuality, and vocation. Most significantly, she reminds you that there doesn’t need to be a divide between generations of women. Together, we can have a global impact—and experience a deeper faith than we’ve ever known.
What are some choices you can make to put your children in position to serve God all the days of their lives? While children do make their own decision when they are grown, there are things we can do to focus them in the right direction. It is our prayer that they will choose to live a Godly life and raise their own family in the ways of the Lord. In this episode of PF Women Talk Radio, Deanna and Erika discuss the issues, opening the line for call-in questions.
