Tom Brady's Suspension & Peyton Manning's Future with NFL Insider Seth Everett

    in Football

On this week's episode of "Pro Football View from the East," hosts Joe Tufaro (@Tufdan) and Dennis Agapito (@PFVFE) welcome sports radio host, columnist and MLB/NFL insider Seth Everett (@Seth_Everett) to the program.

The panel takes an in depth look at a variety of topics facing the National Football League as training camps begin:

Was NFL Comissioner Roger Goodell correct in upholding Patriots quarterback Tom Brady's four-game "deflate-gate" suspension?
Who will start in Brady's absence and how could his loss influence the Patriots season?
Have teams closed the gap on the Denver Broncos in the AFC West?
Can Peyton Manning endure the rigors of another season and what does the future hold for the aging quarterback?
Which NFL teams are set to take a step forward this year, vastly improving over last season?

This and much more NFL coverage!

Pro Football View from the East now available on iTunes and Stitcher.

    in Current Events

On Wednesday 29th August at 1 pm CT (8pm SA time) we have invited Dan Roodt to be our guest as he was unable to get on air on Saturday

Dan Roodt is an Afrikaner author and intellectual who also worked for some time in the financial markets. He was born in the late fifties in Springs, a city just east of Johannesburg where he also went to primary school. He has spent most of his adult life in Johannesburg, apart from a stint in Paris where he learnt French and became in his own words, "more Europeanised than most South Africans, although my roots are in Africa, in our wonderful sunny country which has been so manhandled these past few decades".

He holds a PhD in Afrikaans language and literature, but also comments regularly in the media and on the website praag.org on South African politics and society. In 2005 he published a popular book critical of the current South African government called The Scourge of the ANC. More recently he has written on South Africa's English identity, as well as penning a preface to the South African edition of Jared Taylor's White Identity: Racial Consciousness in the 21st Century. NFL news: Brady loses appeal; MLB news: Tulowitzki traded to Toronoto Blue Jays

    in Sports

In this episode of The Red Light Sports Ramble, presented by The Red Light Sports Network, Evan Witalison and Troy Otradovec will take a look at the latest MLB trades, and then talk NFL. The biggest trade in MLB happened between the Colorado Rockies and Toronto Blue Jays.  The Rockies sent shortstop Troy Tulowitzki to the Blue Jays for Jose Reyes.  The Blue Jays are currently seven games behind the New York Yankees, in the American League East.  They are only three games behind the Minnesota Twins for the American League Wild Card. Did the Blue Jays really need to add a bat, or should they have sought some more pitching?

In breaking NFL news, Roger Goodell upheld the Tom Brady suspension.  This means that Brady is still suspended four games, to start the  2015 season.  Early reports are stating that Brady is going to take the NFL to court to clear his name.  Goodell released a statement that said the destruction of the cell phone played a part in his decision.  He stated that Brady's acts violate the intergrity of the game.  What are your thoughts?  Call the show and share your thoughts.

"What Is An Activist?" on "A Muslim and A Catholic Wake Up in 'Merica"

    in Politics

    What is an Activist?
A person who sees an injustice in the world and works hard to fix or right the injustice, but in the 21st century it seems it’s usually a false sense of self-importance.  “Wait, what an injustice in the world…that’s just wrong…I’m going to like that page, or “That one is really heart wrenching and it hurts me…I got to more than just like that one…I’m going to make it my status.” And activism is not just buying apparel to support the cause so that you look cool. Its east to be an activist these days, Right?  All you need is a computer, a mouse and lots of FaceBook friends so that you can broadcast to a large audience every time you like a page or make a nonsense comment.  What if all your clothes were stolen and your FaceBook page were to be deleted?   The hard truth is: Activism isn’t about the T-shirt, sticker, or the bracelet you bought. It’s not even what you talk about on the internet all the time, unless you are actively doing something about it! Being an activist means you “Join The Fight!” Being an activist is; knowing what support really means and your willingness to bear the weight of something…even if it is un-cool. Isa and Common Cal’s first guest is CJ Pearson. 13 years old and he gets it. At 13 years old, CJ Pearson commands a brand, following, and political message that inspires young and old alike. CJ has been featured on Fox News, the Washington Times, USA Today. Joining the conversation in the second hour will be Daniel Johnson from Solutions Institute (Isa’s Bromance) and Brian Engleman discussing the Tennessee, Louisiana, and LA shootings as well as the upcoming Act Con 3. That’s Tuesday night, July 28st at 8:00pm EST/5:00pm PST on “A Muslim & A Catholic Wake Up In ‘Merica.”  Coffee Party USA Radio Network.
