Dr. E. Dewey Smith, Jr. is the Senior Pastor/Teacher of The House of Hope Atlanta located in Decatur, Ga. Prior to moving to metro Atlanta, he served as Senior Pastor of the Beulahland Bible Church in Macon, Ga.
A native of Macon, Dr. Smith received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion from Morehouse College in Atlanta,Ga. He matriculated at Morehouse School of Religion - The Interdenominational Theological Center - Atlanta, Ga. and received his Master of Science degree, graduating Magna Cum Laude, from Southern Christian University, Montgomery, Al. Smith earned his Doctor of Ministry degree from the United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio. He was inducted into the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Board of Preachers at Morehouse College as a Distinguished Preacher.
Pastor Smith commenced his preaching ministry at the tender age of 17 and his pastoral ministry at 19. God has highly favored him by allowing explosive growth and outreach to accompany his ministry. His first congregation grew from 48 to over 3,000 people in 13 years. After faithfully serving at Beulahland, God elevated him to become the Senior Pastor/Teacher of The House of Hope Atlanta. Since the commencement of his pastorate at The House of Hope Atlanta in January 2004, the church's membership roll has grown from a few hundred to more than 11,000--with an average weekend attendance of 7,000 people. During the first five years of his tenure at The House of Hope Atlanta, the church was blessed to acquire a 60 acre, seven building (480,000 total square feet) campus--featuring a 7,000 seat Neo-Gothic Cathedral--all for the glory of God.
The authors that we are featuring today are: E. Dewey Smith, author of "A God Dream"; Pat Simmons, author of "No Easy Catch"; and Leceila Turnage, author of "Mercy, Mercy Me".
The purpose of this show is to highlight wholesome Christian books, promote them to our audience, encourage you to buy these books for yourself and for others, and most importantly, to see people come to Christ and lives changed for the glory of God.

Featuring the local talents of Nancy James, (vocalist/actor/voice over talent), local legend Dr. Albert Weisbrot (who's sings for the Cincinnati Reds and Three Tenors), and David Robinette (of the Ohio Metropolitan Pops Orchestra and Chorale, soloist). Coming all together on May 15th, 2015 at 7:30pm at Hope Church in Mason. Join us for an night out with an unforgettable performance conducted Benjamin Price, and produced/arranged by Jeff Smith. We have teamed up with Mars Hill Academy the a local Classic-Christian school, in Mason, Ohio. Proceeds of the event will help award money toward the Mars Hill Financial Assistance program to help family provide a break on tuition at the school thru a scholarship and the Ohio Metropolitan Pops Orchestra and Chorale.
