The Texas Derby is Saturday against FC Dallas at BBVA Compass Stadium. Has the rivalry lost a little bit of its edge?
Houston Dynamo loanees to Pittsburgh Riverhounds were announced Tuesday. Jason Johnson, Anthony Arena and Bryan Salazar left for Pittsburgh Wednesday. Is Brian Ownby the fourth loanee once Tony Cascio is match fit again?
Houston Dash have played a few scrimmages and the team is coming together. How does the team look and what does the season hold for them?
Houston Dynamo Bucket List by Leo Ponce. Don't ask me, you just have to listen.
Houston Dynamo away woes continue with an absolute battering 4-0 from New York Red Bulls. Injuries have kept Brad Davis out of the lineup, and a very controversial red card kept Kofi Sarkodie out. Warren Creavalle looked outmatched against Thierry Henry in New York.
Houston Dynamo at home, however, are a completely different story. They look great, play great and seem to keep their minds about them.
Houston Dash notched their first win against Boston Breakers this past week. It was a historic win, even if they gave up an early goal via a defensive mistake. Teresa Noyola stepped in for injured Brittany Bock and grabbed herself a brace, while the inaugural goal came from Ella Masar. Injuries may be a big concern as Brittany Bock had surgery on her meniscus and will be out the season, and Kealia Ohai didn't travel with the team. Ella Masar also picked up a thigh injury, straining it during play, but is expected to play.
The Lamar Hunt US Open Cup this year has changed a couple of rules in an attempt to get more Major League Soccer clubs putting an emphasis on playing well. Will this help Dominic Kinnear actually play starters, or will we once again see substitutes and recalled loanees?
Also, an update from the loanees at Pittsburgh Riverhounds. We'll discuss how Michael Lisch, Anthony Arena and Jason Johnson look, while contemplating the interesting tidbit of Bryan Salazar on the bench instead of not suiting up at all.

Michael Citro, Andrew Marcinko and Austin David from The Mane Land break down Orlando City's first ever victory in Major League Soccer, a 1-0 road victory over the Houston Dynamo. Michael is still calling for MLS to give the goal to Pedro Ribeiro but, own goal or not, they all count the same and the Lions share the top of the Eastern Conference table with fellow expansion team New York City FC, just like we all thought.
We discuss the finer points of the Houston Dynamo match that stood out to us,address some injury and illness issues running through the team, and then turn our attention toward Saturday night's opponents, the Vancouver Whitecaps. Here to help us learn more about our new Western Conference foe is Jorge Mendoza from the Eighty Six Forever blog and co-host of the From the Backline podcast.
Jorge talks about the keys to Saturday night's match from the Vancouver standpoint and a little bit about why he's such a big Whitecaps fan.
And of course we have to get our (probably way off) predictions in just before we sign off. Enjoy!
Here's how it happened:
0:27- Michael, Andrew and Austin with a recap of the win at Houston, injury and loan talk, and what to expect from Saturday night.
22:57- Jorge Mendoza jumps on and gives us the 411 from Vancouver's perspective, including his prediction and whether or not jet lag will play a role on Saturday.
38:07- Prediction time! We somehow all agree on the result, but the score lines are all over the map.
And that's it for this week's PawedCast! Check us out now on Blog Talk Radio or iTunes and coming soon to Stitcher.

On today's show Mitchell Tierney of Waking the Red takes over the hosting chair with Arslan Siddiqui's mysterous disappearance. He and Michael Norton of Last Word On Sports immediately take the show off the rails as they make misunderstood political jokes.
The discussion then turns to the matter at hand: the 401 derby that could decide everything for Toronto FC and the Montreal Impact. The lads talk about the possible outcomes, and what they would mean in the grand scheme of things.
Then it is on to the Vancouver Whitecaps, who continue to struggle going into their final game of the season against the Houston Dynamo. Can the caps finally break their winless streak?
Finally, next month is World Cup qualifying but where will it be shown on Canadian television? The boys discuss the importance of a TV deal for the CSA.
